ecklerwr1, that sounds like a bug. Thanks for such a good info you've provided. I've opened internal ticket for investigation and fix. For internal guys: NetFlow #3563 thanks

Dimitri, you are right, by default we consume pre-PAT ip-address. ASA flows also carry mapped PAT ip address. More details here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/netflow/netflow.html#wp1028790 thanks,

I'm also glad to inform you that NTA 3.5 is Globally Available. Customers who have active maintenance could download it from Customer portal. New customers can evaluate this great product at SolarWinds web-site: http://www.solarwinds.com/downloads/ Please find more information here: Thanks!

Lchance, yes, it works for all detailed charts (Node details+ Interface details). Please let Chris know if you are interested in a beta program. thanks
-
Jordinho, currently you can see information about Database Maintenance events at NetFlow Traffic Analysis Summary view - Last 25 traffic Analysis Events resource (see attached screen-shot) There is no possibility right now to send email on DB Maintenance events, but this sounds like a good feature request. I'll forward…

aqeel73, this seems to be a problem with corrupted/incomplete NTA installation. Please perform repair of your NTA install from Windows Add/Remove programs applet. Then SolarWinds Configuration Wizard should start automatically and complete Database repair operation. thanks
-
Hi tao_lao, do you have Custom bandwidth set for that interface? Can you show the same chart but using Rate(kbps) data unit? thanks
-
LesOkrasa, thanks for your feedback. Please use this thread to vote for your feature: http://thwack.com/forums/73.aspx This will help to rise its priority in PM's feature list. thanks

Hi randomguy, each flow carries information about 2 interfaces - input and output. By default NTA has 'Enable automatic addition of NetFlow sources' option turned ON, that's why some interfaces were added automatically (you should see appropriate messages on Last 25 events resource). If you don't want this interfaces to be…

WillJ, when you mentioned "I put in a hostname/ip address/group name as an enpoint and click enter" did you mean usage of "Search By Endpoint" resource? thanks
-
Hi Sphinx, can you please clarify which System Manager you are referring to: one from the older Orion version (GUI application) or one from the Vendor (IBM)? thanks
-
Thanks for that good news!
-
Hi tao_lao, default monitoring port exclude traffic from custom applications. Right now any flow can belong only to one application and counted only once. thanks
-
Folks, I saw such an error on Win 2008 before and it was resolved by setting application to be run incompatibility mode with previous version o Windows (e.g. 2003) thanks

tylerlucas, I've seen 2 similar cases last time with T1 PPP interfaces. They are probably caused by bug in Cisco IOS (not confirmed by Cisco yet). The problem is that router exports duplicated data inside NetFlow packets (if you open packet capture with WireShark, you can see that some flows inside packet have duplicates),…

srednia, please provide me with information which version of NTA you are trying to install and what the current version that exists on a system? thanks
-
pvaldes, there could be several reasons why you don't see all data in you NTA. E.g. you are missing some traffic because not all interfaces are monitored by NTA. You know that each flow carries information about 2 interfaces - Input(Ingress) and Output(Egress) (which is just SNMP indexes). To be able to store flow to the…

Hi rakem, I would create custom property 'Country' then in Web Node Management set this property for Nodes and create dynamic group based on custom property 'Country'. This approach is not fully dynamic (you still need to set custom property manually) but makes usage quite straitforward and intuitive thanks
-
Hi G Lyle, currently MS SQL 2005/2008 in the only supported database for NPM/NTA thanks
-
Thanks for reporting this problem! I've put it to our pipe to consider for future version.

Hi tao_lao, there could be several reasons causing NetFlow not to capture all traffic for specified interface. Here the couple of points to check: - do you have both "ip flow ingress" and "ip flow egress" options of NetFlow export turned on on the router (in Orion chart Egress traffic is exactly about 10 Mbps). Which…
