I have opened a support case as well. The case number is 276564.

The issue has been resolved. The case number is 322802. The solution was to set the Configuration value to FULL in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SolarWinds\Orion\Core After that I was able to install. Thank you Bill Corgey with Solarwinds Tech Support.

Any idea on whether or not regex will be added to either the Message Center or Syslog web pages?

Is there any way to get the powershell scipt to monitor response times as well? We were using the previous monitor to measure our load balanced VIP and the pool members to see if our VIP was having issues.

I've been unable to find NCM 7.0.1. I doubt it would work though since I can't even install 7.0 without getting the incompatibility error. I'm opening a case now.

I consistently have an SNMP Outstanding value of between 50 and 200.

Can we get this added to our portal as well?

I think we're on to something. I'm monitoring 2800 elements. My max status polls per second is set at 30 and I imagine this is what is backing up. What are the consequences of increasing that number? My Avg. CPU on my polling engine is around 30%.

Thanks!

I'm curious as to why this is such a difficult issue to resolve. I'm wanting to do the same thing BGP messages but the only way I can figure to do it is to maybe set up a UnDP poller for the BGP status and alert when it changes. I would much rather be able to take a trap or syslog message and create an event from it.

Martin, I was using the Exchange 2007-2010 OWA Form Login on 4.0.2 and it appeared to be working fine but when I upgraded to 4.2 it broke. I tried removing the monitor and adding it back and that's when I noticed the login was failing. We're using 2010 so maybe it wasn't actually working correctly in 4.0.2. --Funk

Ok. So now I've completely screwed up NCM. I removed the NCM-NPM-Integration package and tried to complete the first step of installing NCM 7.0.2 on my Orion Core server and I'm getting the same incompatibility error. I then tried reinstalling NCM 7.0 and I'm getting the exact same error. Anyone have any suggestions before…

Apparently I didn't read the initial post well enough. The error I'm getting is "Response page matches login error keywords". Before I added the login error keywords I was getting an error that it couldn't match login success keywords. I'm using the same account I was using before I upgraded to 4.2.

No, nothing was listed in the error message. The name on the integration package is "SolarWinds Orion NCM-NPM Integration v7.0". In the box on the bottom of the window (Server 2008 R2) it says the Product Version is 7.0.2. Should I remove it and run the installer again?

Thanks for the links. I guess my days of avoiding becoming a DBA are over. Just looking at those pages are making my eyes bleed and my mouth dry. If NPM can detect that indexes are fragmented, could it not also report which indexes it discovered and run a job to rebuild them?
-
Yes. At the time I could ping them from NPM. After about 5 hours they were all green again.

Thanks for the tip. The Layer 2 poller doesn't show up under "List Resources". Interestingly, with the same version of code on a 3750G-12S vs a 3750-48TS, one supports those OIDs and the other does not. I tested this with snmpwalk. We have 3750G-12Ss with newer code that support dot1dBasePort. Fortunately we are in the…

We have a Linux script monitor that returns 8 values from our radius server.

I'm running into this same issue after upgrading to APM 4.2. Something must have changed in 4.2 that broke this as it was working fine 3 hours ago.
-
I ave a single polling engine now but when I migrated to my new poller I seem to remember having two temporarily but I fixed that somehow. I wonder if that could be the source of the issue.

We would like this as well.

I'm having trouble with this as well, in particular with custom properties. Oddly enough it works fine with the Last XX Snmp Traps object. Anyone have an idea on how to make this work?
