Thanks Christine, I have an inspection coming up in a month. Do you think I should go ahead with what I have or will it be out before then? Thanks again! Darrell

I let this go. Had one disappear on me so it looks to be this particular router/IOS being a little flaky. Explained to SW Tech.
-
I had a case 77984 which is closed because they say that this is how it's designed to work.

FYI. I wouldn't assume that the next release is v10. I'm thinking more of a 9.6. I'm not emotionally ready for the number 10.
-
We fixed this in SP2, so new upgrades since that release should not hit this issue.
-
...you knew I had to throw it in here, but...how about event log forwarder on 2008 (including core builds) THANK YOU!

I've uploaded all my custom written traps thus far. I've successfully tested Custom Polling Status/Rate, CPU, Memory, Disk Space, Node/Interface Status, thresholds and Node Reboots.

What is the change you're looking for?

I just tossed it up there.

Brandon, I have had cases open on the map issue for almost a month, have performed numerous diagnostic dumps and other such things for support, have hosted at least 2 remote sessions and I come to find out there is a RC for SP3 in this forum? My case is still open and I have heard nothing about trying SP3 out. Can you get…

Hi, I have read this thread and I can see similarities to an issue we have, only what we have is affecting a small number of interfaces (interfaces on SIP600 interface cards). I logged a case with solarwinds and after trying several things, one thing worked. This was to set these interfaces to poll using SNMP ver1. This…

- notice route or hop conts changes * Not in 9.0 - user management: ACL for node management * Not sure what you're asking for here - dependencies between nodes * Not in 9.0, but definitely coming soon - diasable alert resending on reboot * Not in 9.0 - add Volumes & Applications to Maps * Not in 9.0, but definitely coming…

yes, definitely this year.

Well, looks like all of this may have been for naught. I just got an email that told me Adobe just released 11.0.06. Bear with me while I look into that. EDIT: Yup, the .exe version incremented to 11.0.6.70. Because I caught this right away, I can do away with all this flagfile nonsense. Thanks for all your help anyway,…

It should be days, not weeks.

he one thing that I think would go a really long way toward rectifying the concerns I have seen posted here would be as follows... SolarWinds acknowledging that the functionality in the current products such as the Find Connected Port in NCM or the Network Topology Discovery in NPM may have a need for improvement and that…

Thanks, just got off the phone with our Rep. I still have some that are not showing up so we have something to work with.
-
One last thing you may want to add to that list if its not already there. The specific scenario im thinking would be an inline appliance where we would need to graph traffic coming in on one interface and out on a second interface to be able to visualize the total load. Is this functionality something you plan to add to…

I understand and I appreciate your feedback. As for the ticket number, it's always good to have it as a reference for other folks who might have the same issue or a similar one.

We think that APM 2.0 fixes RalphR's issue. Note that his issue is somewhat unique and is not the same as other customers have encountered. Those customers were fixed by SP4.

Andy's right. We support NetFlow v9. We don't support Cisco's Flexible NetFlow technology, which is what they're leveraging for the ASA. I suspect their Support rep is using the two interchangeably. Even if we could support Flexible NetFlow and parse the ASA packet, it's not the same info as a standard v9 packet. It would…

Big D and Bshopp... Next release meaning NPM service pack 4 or v10?
-
It'll be later in 2009, but I don't have anything more specific just yet.
-
I'm not sure what you mean by update. It's fixed in 2.5, which is in beta. It should be shipping very soon.

Good news for the forum folks - I have the IP field correctly pulling now, as well as the NodeID (though I'm seeing a Node.NodeIP error in my event log). The alert message (OID .1) is custom 'per trap' due to the lack of the field in the Advanced Alert configuration. Below is the trap that I am using for UPS Battery…

Thanks to the to the other guys, although they worked fine, having every poller in a list doesn't work for me, too many I'm afraid and not enough screen size or A1 sized paper :). Thanks for your help though. Dave

Steven, you are a SQL Master!

This is a feature that's planned for a future release.

One thing I notice is that when I set the status, it only has Up and Unknown in the dropdown box...I had to type in down...might this be an issue? That shouldn't matter. A quirk of the control we use is that it shows only what's already in the database. Typing "down" is just as good.
