I should mention that I am able to set the fields in the WebGUI when logged in with the non admin user, but am getting these permission errors when using Set-Swisobject on either regular properties or customproperties. Here are the current permissions. (Note that even with "Allow Node Management Rights" set, it's still…

You raise a good point here. Whenever I setup a SolarWinds environment I have a custom graphics folder for my Map images that I want to save in case I have to rebuild the platform. So I always create a SolarWindsOrionMapsImages folder within SolarWinds as i've never been able to find the location that SolarWinds stores…

I never completely understood why SolarWinds did this with the agent? With the agent installed you need to use SAM to monitor the network interfaces to this level. With SNMP its NPM. https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/Comparison-of-Linux-agent-versus-agentless?language=en_US So I guess its worth running…

There is a feature request to better support this functionality, don't forget to vote for it. thwack.solarwinds.com/.../cisco-nexus-9k-vrf-monitoring

I love these kind of questions, it always opens up the discussion from management about how you show the status of these SQL clusters. This is where a well constructed Orion Map comes into its own.

Thank you Michael, I am building asset management web page that works with solarwinds samanage.com. with my web page i am adding asset to solarwind asset. To add/create a new asset i need do call createAssets Post call. createAssets call has asset_type as required field. to call Post CreateAsset, i need to provide…

Thank you, I resubmitted in service Desk section.

Allow non-RFC compliant SSH protocol version exchange - Yes. No dice.

have not yet but I can, just wanted to confirm It was not just me.

Tried clean install on a different box, same results.

If you run Patch Manager there is this... https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/patchman/content/spmag_managingscheduledtasks.htm The alert configs I can see all require coding (powershell). The way i would do it is using scheduled tasks outside of SolarWinds and then monitor those scheduled tasks to make…

It isn't always about performance, there are many aspects of your network to consider. If you want to post the model numbers and manufacturers here, there are plenty of review sites that will give you great comparative information.

I have the HCO license key. How do I activate it in my perpetual model setup so that my NPM especially keeps working? We're ay 2022.4.1.

This is usually caused by OID's not matching. https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/npm/content/core-scanning-monitored-objects-sw2528.htm You may have to rediscover this node, sometimes that works and there are some workarounds in the above article. Hope that helps.

Are you monitoring with SNMP? or with WMI? Usually there is a bit of HP software that must be installed on the HP server to allow you to access hardware health info through SNMP. Hope that helps.

Has this been resolved yet? I do nothing but .net development and have even more runtimes and sdks installed yet this plugin keep telling me I don't have 2.1+ runtime installed. Can you be much more specific please to help us?

Thanks for sharing this option, didn't know it existed. I took a look but don't like this method due to a password (even if obfuscated/obscured) being saved in a text file. I also don't know if the scheduler can use absolute time ranges (e.g. 1AM - 5AM) - it looks to only support timespans (4h0m0s) which doesn't meet my…

There's a post in the features request section to resolve that. Expect it to arrive in an update at some point…

Please update me on your findings, as I have not opened a supoort case.

Following this thread as I'm experiencing the same issue

I was forced into 2023.1.0 due to a SqlExpress issue when trying to upgrade Orion HF5, NPM HF3: 2020.2.6 - to 2022.4. Failed (3) time at 80% of the Uninstallation Running with the same error. Error during deleting file: batchparser.dll. Access to path is denied. Support was useless, as their only advise were document links…

@zflow, Did you find a solution or workaround for this without turning off the banner ?

RC 2023.1.0 - Still an issue on this version as well.

Thanks for this thread and seconding the Boomi problem. I have a ticket open with Boomi support about this issue and it's good to see some useful information.

Sounds like antivirus kicking in maybe? worth a check.

Thank you so much, that's exactly what I needed.

I know IPAM is designed to operate as minimally as possible without interrupting network operations. Scanning /16's takes time. Are you using SNMP or ICMP to scan ? Both can be streamlined to operate quicker.…

Search flow data is your friend here. Top right. Or you can use the flow navigator. Just search for the IP address in both places and you'll see a host of egress and ingress data that will give you the consumption data you are after.

I would be surprised if HPe will do a specific Nonstop OID as Nonstop is just a server isn't it? so you will want an OID that covers each part of the server itself. Or do you want something that covers specifically the Nonstop failover functionality?
