You are a lucky person. The last helpdesk agent who attempted to chew me out got a few days of 10/half connectivity and their favorite time wasting websites blocked on the firewall.

Jphenix, it was due to yesterday’s correct answer actually being the wrong answer. They fixed it and if you watch the video, pretty quickly in it you will hear the right answer
-
tinmann0715, that's correct.

Any word on this as far as release to production? We are looking at other tools right now that support this to run in parallel with SolarWinds.
-
Congrats! Just FYI, we are still gathering the information regarding all winners, so it might take some time until we announce them, but have no worries, you will all get your prizes.

Thanks for the request Sasha!! Kathy

Agree completely. My team is larger than 5 persons, and having to limit access is unwieldy and inefficient. At LEAST double the number!

To add to this discussion thread: we ARE looking at this, we DO have something in the works, but we're NOT yet ready to call it "what we're working on" or put any kind of timeframe on it. I hope to have the What We're Working On updated in the next few weeks and I'll let you know if it's there. (I feel obligated to add the…

josh.haberman, I'm not entirely sure since the prizes are included in the terms and conditions, but I will try to find out if that's possible.

This is critical for me, and would DRASTICALLY make our monitoring more effective, as we could monitor SQL Service (For example) and subsequently disable the multiple templates that have SQL performance and monitoring components on them, helping us get to the root cause quicker, and reduce the flood of emails. Having…

This should be standardized across all fields where we can Regex match. I am fine with using sql query structure but simple regex pattern matching is far more powerful. With a field drop down that you want to get granular on. Currently NPM node management supports regex like nodename[125][1-9] etc. I love this idea but I…

Well since it is part of NPM why not add custom fields into the device information to document what you are looking for. Then you can write custom reports to track that information.

If the smis supports io group, it would be sufficient to provide io group information in a report. This is just as important as UID and Size of the vdisk. IO group in SVC/V7000 is almost like a seperate storage subsystem. A vdisk can be mapped to a host as scsi lun 1, from io group 0. Another vdisk can be mapped to the…

I very much agree! I selected the "correct" answer about 8 different times before I finally settled on one, but of course it was "wrong." Totally misleading.

how did you get on with netbrain? we are running a POC right now

I never imaged I could get so excited about a plugin!

My first post here and it had to be on Deadpool... I absolutely love this movie. It's mine and my wife's favorite romantic comedy now. Great list/post!

Interesting topic.

One of the news features in the 10.7 RC could address this, being able to set the OID for the custom MIB in the Manage pollers feature would be great. We have a number of systems that generate these false negatives to the extent that we have stopped sending node reboot notifications in the ticket system.

jemertz, Monday it is! You have the weekend to relax, and then start a new challenge.

We are not affected by Cyber Monday.

mr.e All I can say is that they have to...because more and more operators are asking for it and the market requirements are changing in terms of a more centralized control of network.................either they join are they are left behind.
