HOLY CRAP!!!!!! It looks like the real thing for sure. Is that yours or a screen shot from the show? I loved that show as a kid! It was like Firefly, way too short lived.

Sometimes cut is also handy when you need to slice on a delimiter. I found myself combining a lot of cut, sed, and awk together, or in exchange with each other. And for collecting numbers, I'd chain together a uniq and sort, too That was helpful to do things like "show me how many unique IP addresses appear in the log that…

For the sake of Chester Copperpot's legend, you HAVE to vote for The Goonies!

Hey guys, I know some of last week's questions may have been a bit faulty, but I can guarantee you that Q16 is ok. You just have to make use of all elements of the hint, and make sure you read between the lines.

This issue is causing a significant amount of problems in our server farm. We run 350+ RHEL6 servers, a significant number of which false alert on snmp daemon restarts. We have $100k+ invested in our SW build (NPM, SAM, NCM) and this problem is significant enough to have management looking at other NMS solutions. Given the…

The debate is focusing on GUI vs CLI. I am of the view that Cisco has not done enough to develop the GUI. However what is missed is the fact that CLI, no matter how powerful it is, can not do network aware configuration. It is focused on box and will remain focused on box. This would work in traditional network but in…

We're working on this connector right now. I'll update this thread when it's up. We didn't have a TON of breadth in our samples (or documentation) so there's some chance for unmatched data as we get rolling.

I mean to be honest I am not sure why people are complaining. The answer is RIGHT in front of you for this question. HINT, just use the filter on the left side and it is right in front of you. People make it so much harder than they need to. You expect the answer to be right there instead of having to maybe dig just a…

Hi vjerez4129, You're missing step 2: TASK 2 - WHERE CAN YOU FIND CONTENT TO EXTEND YOUR PRODUCT'S CAPABILITIES?Here on thwack, you'll find thousands of downloadable templates, reports, scripts and more that allow you to customize and extend our products. Some content in this area is created by SW employees and the rest…

Just go to your content, and see on which polls you participated recently. You should see there the polls from round 1.

When you build a search, you build the timeframe in - last 10 minutes, last hour, last day, last week. When you schedule the search, it executes that search for that timeframe and collects the results. It'll send whatever the total # of results is, zipped in a CSV, up to 10MB (which really is millions of results). Usually…

bsciencefiction.tv newkidd2 ttl matt_rees give it another try. Some of you got it right, but somehow, the logic behind the question didn't recognize the answer. kurtrh since you didn't got to the page where you fill in your thwack ID, there's no need to reset any answer. You should try again.

wluther, that's the spirit! Though you might want to include the name of the actual winner in that schedule as well.

I seem to have failed at the survey. I clicked off it to get my screenshot of my registration and now it says I have already taken the survey. :) haha its going to be one of those days isn't it?

This is a must, if you try to open multiple rules as a single user in the new web interface you can accidentally overlap rule info into the other tab and screw up your entire rule you are working on..... first hand experience.

Agreed, I have run into this many times where I'm recreating FAQs to be used across different request types. Would love to link across various areas.

+1. I'd even expand it to have the ability to just assign any user the ability to 'approve' any ticket a tech chooses.

Hey guys, Thanks a lot for all this feedback. We really appreciate it. And, of course, we didn't forget about the points, which I just added to your profiles. Maria
