Thanks Jiri Cvachovec. Thanks this is really useful. I'm currently setting up UDT and having issues with MAC address white listing as it's picking up MAC addresses on out guest WLAN's. what would be really nice is being able to white list MAC addresses by if they are seen on a wired or wireless connection (ideally by…

YA me too its a bugger without the proper tools

Also, an administrator can't schedule jobs in the future, only the web uploader. It would make sense to have all jobs submitted with future dates and times or a current time option for administrators as well.

Can the EOC be used for monitoring several separate networks that do not relate to each other; with the potential for subnet range conflicts etc being very high? And with the networks sitting behind different VPNs?

If you use creator, it will list all Tech's individually but not clients. It groups them into one general category.

Just checked - it looks like this is now available in the latest connector update package. Can you try it out and confirm? Thanks!! (For reference: SolarWinds Knowledge Base :: How to apply a LEM connector update package)

Woohoo! Thanks for drawing my name! Soon I'll be able to track who is stealing cookies.....

Special announcement 2: no, there's no bacon! But the second email, notifying the round 2 winners has just been sent.

I have to say this is one of the most true-to-life blogs and comment sections I've ever read on here. It's creepy how accurate and relative this article is. I'm fighting an identical war with identical though processes. So far, it's at least moving in the right direction. The Brass decided to allow us to trial Spiceworks…

So, the moment everyone is expecting, the winners of the Amazon gift cards are: Leon Adato and mcam. Let's not forget the winner of the Bonus: naburleson. Congrats to you all! Since we do want to keep the mission fun and fair, for the third question, we gave credit for both answers most of you chose. And as a reminder,…

DanielleH I'm not seeing that issue anymore, no, but now all the comments on this page are unthreaded, both in Chrome and IE9.

That is really useful. Thankyou @"weiss_h" That is certainly a bit closer to what my customer requires and may be enough.

Succession? "When gone am I, the last of the DBA's will you be!"

Looking into this. Hang tight!

npemch, charlesmerritt, I know exactly what you mean. I will come back with an update once the mission has ended, otherwise my explanation might give away the answer.

It's not - but it tells us (again) it's something about the external connection, not your machine I always think of bowling when I think of AMF. Action Message Format in this case... And yes, very much like LiveCycle, it's the "free" version. LCDS (at the time) was quite expensive in the model we deliver.

I agree with this idea. As a long time user of WHD, I have always found that the reporting features were not up to par with the information that was in the systems. I have to resort to using SQL every month to get information on the Clients that use our services. And to be honest, even that is a pain. Please let Reporting…

coone, points are applied once the mission has closed.

Can you start a service automatically, based on an alert that the service is stopped?
-
I would like to see this as well.

I'm thinking I just need the SLX license

Hey guys, We apologize for this. I added a field for inserting your thwack ID, so that you will receive the points at the end of the mission.

Imagine an IT sweat shop, where there are so many distractions that you can't get any work done. Management regular walk by bragging on the design and how it is meant for collaboration and team work. Noises from random things are a constant, there were promises of a white noise machine months ago, but alas that is an extra…

10 years ago. Virtualization was really just taking off. Novell and other similar tools were the main thing in the windows world. Then you had unix and the mainframe as well as various other midrange platforms. Each platform was it's own silo except for unix...they had to speak to multiple variations in unix or at least…

Ineed this feature is still on early stages, I mean there is cacti but wouldn't be nice to see your links going to the carrier's router and actually know their utilization? please add this to a feature network atlas release or at least give it as a hot fix
