I am in the exact same position. I love the better integration, however now that the two components are integrated there is a need to include the ability to exclude NCM from the Orion web interface for some users. I tried a few ways to limit the view, however a basic user still has the ability to view configs. A 'No…

This thread sparked me to create this feature request.

A colleague has discovered that if you edit the html in the page the service now alert logs in service now using the new text which is just what I want, I changed it to "Big Juicy Server Problem", but when you go back into the alert again it reverts the changes, so as long as you don't want to edit the alert after saving,…

These are ideas we're planning.

Not at this time

i would suggest you never use supression tab... i have had nothing but bother with it in the years i have used orion, sop i have banned it. stick with NOT clauses in the trigger tab, and use custom properties to your hearts content (i think i have 40+ of them LOL)

Yes/si, via email messages. You can configure LEM to send a pre-defined email message when a condition triggers, and your help desk system to automatically create a ticket when this email is received. You can use email templates to format the email how you'd like. It's a one-time thing, not an ongoing back and forth…

Hi ZibaK, If you didn't do this already, please go to the Feature Request forum and create your idea, so that other users can then vote on it. Kind regards, Maria

Is anyone concerned that you can search / lookup anyone in the world with a Cisco account and return an address and sometimes a name from this tool. Here is a search on Solarwinds but I can search on any company / country. Surely this should be locked down to CCO ID.

From my research, it doesn't look like there is a WMI performance counter for database size. If there were, we could monitor it that way. However, it seems that the db is represented in a couple files forums.msexchange.org/.../tm.htm You can monitor file size with APM 2.0 using a template from Thwack (). A File size…

Hi, does the Cisco DHCP management includes the support for Cisco Prime Network Registrar DHCP?
-
Can you elaborate on what you mean by 'Support for Cisco ASA devices'? Thanks
-
Orion includes a built-in view called "Network Trends" that shows network-wide availability. Go to Customize Menubar and you can add Network Trends. Warning: On large networks, these graphs are slow to draw because they are summarizing data from every single node.

r u looking for the same functionality? i wonder how many more people are... Vote everyone!!!! the revolution is coming...

When you check the connector status, can you also take a look at that agent directly in Manage > Agents, then Gear for that agent > Connectors? It would be good to make sure that the Ops Center dashboard is reporting the same data as the Agent itself. Are any of these agents in Connector Profiles? Lastly, the agent log…

We added a custom field.

Hi reply.prak, You can find some recommendations and best practices regarding the SQL Server database here. Hope this helps a bit. Maria

Most all Windows boxes are polled WMI. Thing is, I have some that show a value for location in the report but have no clue where that location came from.
-
There's no great answer in 9.1. With the next release, you'll be able to do this via discovery.
-
Unfortunately reports are pretty independent from the LEM console, so there's no push-button way to do this. Fortunately reports are easily reproduced or replicated by content that already exists in the console. So if you have a specific report you're working from, there's probably something in the console that does the…

Nope two different databases.

Is there an answer for this yet?
-
Correct - as it is, there's no guarantee that any field will be an IP vs. name 100% of the time across 100% of devices. It depends on the data (log) source and agent node.
-
Can you post a screenshot?

Essentially DetectionIP/InsertionIP are ways of saying "this is where the data originated" and "this is the trusted endpoint that parsed it" (similar to Detection/InsertionTime). DetectionIP is a parsed field (from the log data/messages) unless it's not present, then it's the same value as InsertionIP (which is taken from…

pgraham, I have been doing this in my SQL for some time and it works great. I configured a SQL Agent job to run on a regualr basis, actually have several running at different times for various CP's. It can be done, just let me know what you need to know to make it work.
-
It's not obvious what that might be. I'd recommend opening a support ticket.
-
Annoying? Kidding. It may be a false positive, but it may also be that there are rules in the built-in firewall that the hostname change process couldn't translate. Are you seeing any weird behavior after changing the hostname? A reboot might tidy things up, too.

As far as we know, .Net 3.0 should work. If anyone has problems, please tell us right away. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

No. The configuration wizard can't be run from the command line.
