how can I tell what each trap means in trap viewer? I looked through the administrator guide but found nothing. This is rather confusing to me, sorry guys..

point all your routers and switches to a single device in your network that serves out NTP and then have that one device act as NTP server and draw from as low of a stratum as you can. This way your network will always be in sync. then all you need to do is check a single device and to verify if DST went into effect.

I'm not actually trying to figure out what this specific alert means, but instead have these snmp traps come to my email in plain english instead of looking like something from the Matrix, LOL! I want to receive emails with plain english just as you wrote below. Thanks for your help.quote:Originally posted by aLTeReGo This…

newbie to this stuff. I am running HP servers. What app do I need on the HP servers in order to send this info to Orion? Everything I have setup for Orion is working great except for hardware monitoring.
-
I just received confirmation that this was re-created in the lab by SW, flagged as a bug, and will be fixed in NTA 3.8.
-
You need the https template in "manage applications"... And then specify the https site you want to monitor. Hope that helps...

The Hot Standby Server is limited to NPM. It does not suport APM.

Is the Sample Interval on the chart set to a more frequent update time and the Gauge just hasn't polled recently enough to show 100%?
-
We have a task/request to update the group - we've used third party sites to build the list, and have updated it periodically. Is static, and will only get updated when we provide updates on our end (or if you import/create a new group). Using it in Monitor can slow down the real-time view since the group is so large, and…

Spaces in the share name is the most common troublemaker, but barring that the support team can also dig into the logs that are generated to see if there's anything telling that reveals more info. Have you tried sharing from another system in case there's something strange going on with your local system?

I found the answer with a little help from tech support, and some on my own... I am going to duplicate each Alert that currently exists on my primary Polling Server. Then, I will modify duplicate Alert in the the SQL DB as you instructed. from tech support..... First, open the database manager utility in Orion…

Can you post a screenshot or more details on the FIM monitor config you have set up? We can take a look and try to reproduce.

no, but that's a good feature request.

I had a similar problem which turned out to be a couple of things. First NPM 9.5 SP1 incorrectly handled my advanced SQL filter and that issue was a documented fix for SP2. Service Pack 2 indeed did fix that issue. The other issue was that my SQL statements were incorrectly formatted. The easiest approach i found was to…

So just the gauges are slow? Does that 20-40 seconds come from clicking on the title of the gauge and detaching them?

Are there any updates as to when / if Trapeze wireless will be supported?

I can't spot any errors, the Python code I have looks the same and functions. However I've only tested against 11.5 and 12.0RC1. May be it's down to your version of Orion? It may be worth spinning up a test system of 12.0RC1 and testing. It'll also mean that you can try NetPath which is looking really cool. Could be that…

Use ^ip http secure-server\r*\n $ end character regex's do not work as the configs are not trimmed.
-
We can't allow different ranges, but if you want the graph to always start at zero, you can download the attached file (CustomPollers-NetPerfmon.Charts), replace the version of it in the Orion folder under Program Files, and then restart IIS. All UnDP charts will then start at zero.

We don't run Call Manager so I can't speak to that, but I wish there were a more broad list of supported PBX. We use Asterisk PBX in-a-flash as well as I3. I would love to see something come out for those two.

You should call your Sales rep to see what he or she can do for you.

Thanks - we've got this one in our list of connectors that we'll add support for. It's relevant, it's syslog, it's better than bad, it's good. It's behind several other requests at the moment, but as soon as it's available we'll update the case and try to post back here on Thwack.

Crazy... I checked this morning, and it was fixed. I did noticed that a Location that I deleted was also back. I removed the redundant Location (not the same) and all seems well. I will continue to work with Support to find out what happened.

both of these links point to the local host address. either swap out the links with shortcuts to the the correct URL or change the website to be bound to all unassigned IPs. I prefer and used the first.

I have opened a Ticket with Solar Winds support... apparently is not as simple as I thought.
