Data retention is not specific to the Report Writer. It's a general setting in System Manager. Go to the File menu in System Manager and you can set retention interval.

You have multiple options, all being manual since it's a new unconfigured router. You can copy it (and remove line numbers in your view if you have admin rights) from NCM.
