We do intend to take that technology and add it to both Orion and Cirrus. ipMonitor was first, but not last.
-
We don't think this is possible.

Hi jackburace, If you RSVPed to thwackCamp, then you are receiving these notifications as reminders. You can change the status of your attendance by scrolling down on the event's page and click where it's saying "You are attending this event".

Same here but also on Interface and Alerts page refreshes.

We just rebuilt our solarwinds server and I went ahead and installed the latest version (9.1 SP1). I'm not seeing any issues with it so far, and having not spent much time with the previoius version I'm not sure what has changed. I can say though I'm not experiencing any difficulties.

Good suggestion. Thanks.

We've been running a trial version of NTA on a test box, I installed SP4 yesterday and haven't run into any problems yet.

Seems to be related to this: Help Desk Software Forums by Web Help Desk - Characters appear as question marks - can we fix? Web Help Desk Things like é work since they're already in latin-1. I'm not sure why WHD doesn't just force UTF-8 in the schema. I implemented the MySQL 5.5 equivalent of the FAQ's suggestions:…

Did you have a question, or did you just want to show off your snazzy new node?
-
Interesting. a 'é' shows up fine, but '中文' does not. I wrote in about it. I will check to make sure it's not an issue with the Exchange server it's passing through first.

Does anyone have an alert built for this script monitor?
-
Well, what I found when I looked at this again is that when you are in a map view you can specify other properties, including custom properties but I still have not found a way to do this when hovering over nodes not in a map view. I will still continue to look.....
-
If it suits your situation you can do this on Map views. If you edit the Map resource pane, on the right there should be a link to 'Customize map tooltips'. From here you can choose what variables to add depending on the type of node, so for example on Orion.Nodes we have 'Customer: ${CustomerName}' (which is a custom…

Sure does. So long as the SQL server is concerned, the disk the DB's sit on is local so Solarwinds could care less.

We are having what seems to be a similar issue with v7.8.5. We have 2 polling engines and every day or so one of the pollers (mainly the secondary) fails in one of two ways. Either the netperfmonservice just stops or it "hangs" and stops updating the database on the SQL server. When the service stops, in which case Windows…

Well, it depends on what you mean by "integrated." We are definitely planning to put some of the discovery and network topology information from LANsurveyor into Orion. But the Orion functionality won't be a superset of the LANsurveyor functionality. What is it that you'd like to see moved to Orion? Which problems are you…

Anyone>???

So, I started creating a SQL query to attempt this. I joined a few tables as such: SELECT SRM_StorageArrayCapacityStatistics.CapacityUserTotal, SRM_StorageArrayCapacityStatistics.CapacityUserUsed, SRM_PoolCapacityStatistics.CapacitySubscribed, SRM_PoolCapacityStatistics.DateTime, UserCaption FROM…

Bump. Anyone?

OK, my experience was not good but it was that way for a not so obvious reason. I upgraded from 8.5 to 9.0 today and when it got to the point about the license I forgot that the box didn't have access to the Internet. So the install was cancelled part of the way through. What resulted was an install that looked like it…

Hmmm.. im waiting till 9.5

Hi jlim13, I'll contact you directly.

This would be a feature request. Let me ask you this: Do you want to be able to see the web page, or do you want to be able to see and acknowledge alerts from your phone?
-
Are you asking if your SQL license will work with SQL 2005? Or are you asking if Orion will work? Orion will definitely work with SQL 2005. I would recommend it over SQL 2000. It's a significant enhancement. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

We will consider it as a feature request., but what you're trying to do isn't possible at this time.
-
Hi Do you have NCM ? Kind Regards James
-
YES! This is possible as I am doing it today. It requires adding a CP for the SerialNumber and a SQL Agent job to read the data and then post into the Nodes table. Scott

On our roadmap, we intend to allow users to be able to configure new pollers to work more like out-of-the-box pollers.

Using many of these suggestions break the manual download of a startup-config (as running-config is hardcoded) eg. pushing "download startup" actually downloads a running config. I had success using this code to be able to download both the startup, running and system-context from an ASA: (remember to have this code for…

Hello - we just got the same error. Did you ever get a resolution to this?
