Solarwinds has an internal-only tool you have to contact support to get. It requires local (not domain) credentials to your IPAM instance and will fill in all empty subnets with IP's I have no idea why the import method does not fill in the IP's. AM 8.5 has End-of-Lifed, so it is not supported. Instead, we offer Application Performance Monitor, which monitors processes, Windows Services, WMI Performance Counters, and a whole lot more.

It will likely depend on how the syslog is received and the device. It's possible it will be able to differentiate them by the actual/internal IP. If you have the firewall log its IP/name in the log, it might also pick those up as the appliance names. Generally, LEM is going to try to parse the IP/hostname of the device…

Running the 9.0 configuration wizard on the Additional websites will cause the DB schema to be updated to 9.0, which would cause problems with the rest of your 8.5 infrastructure. If you only do the install, then you should be okay, but those webservers will not be usable...

Unfortunately, this won't work. The code only submits the first 250 characters of the message. 

 It wouldn't hurt anything, but they won't work until you get the database upgraded to 9.0.

I solved my own problem by deleting the node and re-adding it with the Agent method of polling. It was a shame to lose the device history, but it did stop the "node down" alerts.

I just checked, and the 1440 min limit was present in 8.1. Providing a no-timeout option is slated for an upcoming release.

Janis...couldn't get the unsupported feature to work on 7.2.2. Don't see any Unmanage button or menu item when I right-click on a node. I stopped and restarted service and even rebooted server. Custom MIBS

Hey SolarWinds guys, any chance you can help me on this? I mean, how is it even possible that we're defining Alerts, yet the alerts we get don't contain the info we put into the definition?!?! This is making ticket creation pretty much useless, at least in some cases. -Scott F.
