It wouldn't hurt anything, but they won't work until you get the database upgraded to 9.0.

I solved my own problem by deleting the node and re-adding it with the Agent method of polling. It was a shame to lose the device history, but it did stop the "node down" alerts.

I just checked, and the 1440 min limit was present in 8.1. Providing a no-timeout option is slated for an upcoming release.

Got it! Thanks NG & Janis! I agree with everyone, this capability should be a standard function! SW...got your ears on?

Janis...couldn't get the unsupported feature to work on 7.2.2. Don't see any Unmanage button or menu item when I right-click on a node. I stopped and restarted service and even rebooted server. You identified the Value String to be "Allow Unmange". Even tried "Allow Unmanage" in case the it was mispelled.…

Weird, I didn't realize those didn't display in print view either. That seems like either a bug or a feature request- not sure. In the meantime, it is less elegant, but you could modify your "Column Set" from the ticket listing to include your custom field of "Checklis- AssocNew". Any fields that are checked 'should' show…

Hey SolarWinds guys, any chance you can help me on this? I mean, how is it even possible that we're defining Alerts, yet the alerts we get don't contain the info we put into the definition?!?! This is making ticket creation pretty much useless, at least in some cases. -Scott F.

SAM uses Advanced Alerts and there are some pre-made (or "canned" as we say) including Hardware Health. The name of the canned alert is "Alert me when any hardware component goes into a warning or critical state".

Hi there, I do feel you pain, as I had similar problems where I had 4 SL2000 licenses which i have had to retire and buy SLX pollers due to the way we were moving with our installation. However, in theory, if you were to to get a mega server, you could possibly take the number of element further. if you also drastically…

I apologize for the delay. I will try to pick back up on this project over the next few days. Thank you all for the updates. I look forward to gettng this fixed.

Please add the attached mib files (DataSynpase) to your database

I know this is an old thread, but thought I'd put this in it, just in case it helps someone... I have a number of these situations, and in *most* of the cases, this helps resolve the issue for us. When we have this situation we do have to do an "allow all" to just the monitoring server, unfortunate but true - however, that…

This is a bug on our part. We're going to get it fixed, but in the meantime, you can edit the value in the database. It's in the WebUserSettings table. The value you need to change back to 250 is Web-SyslogMaxMsgPerPage.

We're reworking the entire custom MIB poller for the next version of Orion, so this should change.

Hi pauls, i think you're right, i re-deployed LEM 5.4 yesterday, and wait about 24 hours. Today the LEM License is correct, and the nodes can be found. I guess the reason is the DHCP, my situation is in the no DHCP environment. I wonder whether it is when i trid to deploy LEM within the DHCP environment, it could get the…

Here is my 2 cents for a new feature... I would like to see a Replay Mode. I'd like to go back to a period of time, let's say within the last 7 days, and begin replaying all stats for all nodes/interfaces from a given date/time and refreshed based upon a user-definable replay interval using the Top 10/TopXX views. For…
-
Check the time & date on your VMware server where LEM is deployed to make sure it's correct. The license was created on May 17 (today), which means it should expire June 17, which all sounds good. Where things go wrong is where it thinks today is past June 17. The only way it thinks its expired is if the system is actually…

asl-support thanks that seemed to do the trick so we made a few changes and now all is well. ACK and you shall receive.

No alerts or events other than the 'No response' The device is pingable from the server thats what is getting me on this Just double checked the community string its still the same as one of the other boxes that are identical to it. You can see all of the interfaces and the stats for each. ACK and you shall receive.
