Try a rediscover from manage nodes for a router not working. Also, if you change a QoS policy at the router, it used to break it in NTA and you had to remove and reapply the policy to the interface to be rediscovered by NTA and begin working again. Solarwinds knows there's issues with CBQoS, just isn't fixed yet.

Bruce, That feature is tentatively scheduled for the next release, but I can't promise it'll get in. The reason we haven't prioritized it is that the native SQL tools are always available as a workaround, and they don't require sa privs. To give you some perspective - SolarWinds built the database manager back when most…

Go into Alerts to manage individual alerts where you can apply thresholds to individual alerts. OR Go into Settings / All Settings and look for Orion Thresholds and there you can alter system wide thresholds.
-
You can install just the Orion component . It installs on the Primary Orion server, and uses the Orion database. The Profile component requires a separate server and it's own database. One SRM license covers both products.

I think what really needs to happen is Solarwinds needs to get their stuff together and update the 3rd party patches.
-
Hi Yes it is possible, what version of NCM are you using and do you have NPM installed. James

Never Mind!! Found it, IP-Address-Management.exe in the tool set dorectory, shortcut it to their desktop and it does what I need.

Turns out the issue was with a handful of Netflow virtual interfaces that were somehow misconfigured. I called support, and they found in the logs that when the Atlas was trying to run, it would eventually hang on a number of virtual interfaces that were set to a polling interval of zero, which is apparently bad. I removed…

Could you please add : Nexus 5548P 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.1008 Nexus 5596UP 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.1038

not trying to be harsh here but if it send the message when you test the alert then it is probably the trigger that is not acting correctly. Post your trigger here or take another look at it to see if it is going to trigger like you think it will.

I build a Workaround for this. I created an alias for enable which run a sh clock. With this entry it works. Sure not the best solution but it works for now. Do anybody have a better solution for this issue?
-
Ok. I've got that. Actually showing clocks is a new and interesting request.

-
They look the same to me. Here are two screenshots, one 8.1, the other 8.5.1. What's missing?
-
Hi Richard Letts, Thanks for sharing this. Could you also post here the ticket number?
-
You'll need to open a Support ticket to get 3.1.

How do we update this DB in SolarWinds? Thanks! Craig

Solarwinds has an internal-only tool you have to contact support to get. It requires local (not domain) credentials to your IPAM instance and will fill in all empty subnets with IP's I have no idea why the import method does not fill in the IP's. I've uploaded it here, but I imagine it won't last forever: FileSwap.com :…

AM 8.5 has End-of-Lifed, so it is not supported. Instead, we offer Application Performance Monitor, which monitors processes, Windows Services, WMI Performance Counters, and a whole lot more.

Please add the following Cisco Device Cisco Catalyst 4500-X1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1606

It will likely depend on how the syslog is received and the device. It's possible it will be able to differentiate them by the actual/internal IP. If you have the firewall log its IP/name in the log, it might also pick those up as the appliance names. Generally, LEM is going to try to parse the IP/hostname of the device…

quote:Originally posted by aLTeReGo I just bought this product and I'm very disappointed that the port descriptions on my Cat6500 series switches are not populated automatically. As I have well over 100 ports per 6500 this is a huge pain in the ass. How about before we trick this product out with all sorts of cool new…

Can you please add this MIB to the Database?

Experiencing the same issue. Anyone ever get a resolution?
-
Running the 9.0 configuration wizard on the Additional websites will cause the DB schema to be updated to 9.0, which would cause problems with the rest of your 8.5 infrastructure. If you only do the install, then you should be okay, but those webservers will not be usable...

Unfortunately, this won't work. The code only submits the first 250 characters of the message.
