I've added your issue to our system.

First off I would like to thank you all for the new information about version 8, I'm really looking forward to it and was excited to see some new solid information about it. Aside from the already announced features here a couple I woudln't mind seeing. 1) Make it easier to adjust time frames of graphs with a single click.…

for the most part clusters are about services and redundancy to keep the service alive even when you have failed hardware. to that end the service will have its own node entry in Orion that will give you information on the service portion, then the physical nodes will also have entries in Orion to allow the hardware people…

So it can be done but you have to use the config.asmx and the monitorview method to get additional details Kind of a roundabout way but it works
-
It's not clear that your issue is related to graphs. It seems more likely that you have a problem with polling? How many elements are you monitoring? How are you deployed?
-
Yes. We'll eventually expose those to the VoIP Monitor.

My NPN can see the Alteon 10000's but it can only monitor the interfaces (poorly) and some minor other detail. I've started a discussion called "Alteon 10000 10k fail" and attached the MIBs as supplied by the vendor. Please could you "assimilate" them so that I can update my NPN and monitor them correctly. MIBs attached.…

SysObjectID is blank, but it is a Sun l700.

SolarWinds Information Service v3.0 Schema Documentation Index Which helps a lot! I ended up with Get-SwisData $swis 'SELECT UDT.macaddress,UDT.rawMAC,UDT.ipaddress,UDT.hostname,UDT.LastSeen,UDT.PortName,UDT.PortID,UDT.NodeAccessPoint,UDT.NodeID FROM Orion.UDT.MACCurrentInformation UDT ' which is sufficient for what I…

Update.... I am now able to install the product, it isn't taking my license key... What I ended up doing to get this far is I looked at the License Manager log and I saw something in there that looked like a reg key. I found it, deleted it, and I was able to reinstall the app on the new server. Now I just need to get my…

I agree, that this would be a great idea. Try posting it in the Feature Request section here: Web Help Desk Feature Requests Then, other users can vote on it. Good luck!

Orion 8.0.1 is now available for download, and it addresses several problems with Custom MIB Pollers. We suggest that you upgrade to this service release because it may address your problem. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

If it is not possible to change the threshold what rule type is it?

Thanks Andy and Andy. (hehe).

Yes. You can use the Universal Device Poller. I think, but am not sure, that this is the MIB you need to poll: MIB OLD-CISCO-INTERFACES-MIBName locIfInCRC iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.cisco.local.linterfaces.lifTable.lifEntry.locIfInCRC OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.2.1.1.12Type INTEGERUnits Access read-onlyStatus…

Daniele, If you're logged on as an admin on you eval server, you should be able to use Windows Authentication to connect to the DB.

How do you connect the node to the "ContainerMemberSnapshotID" and the "Container"? I am trying to joing nodes to containermember and container to find out what a property is in a node within a group.
-
If you remove a module from a switch and it had 48 ports you were monitoring they will all become unknown also. There doesn’t appear to be any way to remove the interfaces except for deleting them individually
-
I opened Support Case # 351999. I was told that it is a bug. They are reading the wrong OID. They finally had some other complaints about this as well. Supposedly it is in the queue to be fixed in the next release.

Sounds like a time out from the script not receiving expected output. Did you check logs to see what exactly was sent and received? Do you have a copy of the script you wrote?
-
OK. Fair enough.
-
Can you re-post in the APM RC forum? http://thwack.com/forums/160.aspx
-
Have you tried DirectLink? It's a built-in account that logs in automatically. You can then customize it to display whatever is relevant in NPM and APM and any other module that is installed. HTH, Mike

I don't think this data is published as a MIB. It's published as WMI, which requires APM.
-
I know this thread is very old but I'm also looking for the same thing. Rounding to the whole number for availability isn't what management is looking for.

Hi Aaron We get the ASM metrics from v$asm_disk for the most part. Kathy
