I added a similar comment already to the associated feature request. This feature seems or seemed to exist at least for Serv-U server since version 8.0.0.1 and we are using it since version 11 up to and including version 15. If it is currently not support, then we maybe work with a bug (but not a feature request) and…

Eventually, we plan to retire basic alerts, but that statement was made in the context of trying to figure out what the Advanced Alerts were missing. We need to make advanced a superset of basic alerts before we retire the latter. Couldn't you do what you're talking about with advanced alerts by assigning custom properties…

What does your search look like? How far back, how large is the result set when it finally completes? Depending on how you form the search query, it changes how hard LEM has to search for it. For example, the Refine Fields you see are faster than a bare text search.

Did this get implemented? I'm looking to add values into this via API.

Vic, Ok, it took some digging, but I found that under the List Resources option. Thank you. -Chrisquote:Originally posted by vhcato Check in System Manager to make sure that you have it configured to collect "Interface Error Charts" and "Interface Traffic Charts" for that interface. I have just recently seen a similar issue when using SNMPv3. It was odd because it worked for a month and then it randomly stopped collecting data for the interfaces.
-
That worked! Thanks

Well Jason, I configured that UnDP and tested on a few of our Cisco devices. The information it pulls back doesn't make sense. For example: shows %and some characters.
-
Interesting Jason. I can try that and see how it works.

What else are you collecting on that poller? If it's just 7000 nodes, and you're just polling for status, that may work but then the question is how many interfaces are you polling, how often are you collecting statistics? It's all the same poller, so it all adds to the same pool. It sounds like you'd be pushing a single…

The number of days' worth of live data that the LEM database can store varies, depending on the environment. Visit the SolarWinds Success Center and see Live Data Storage Retention in LEM for details.

Our current NetApp auditing support is based on remotely accessing the .evt formatted audit trail info (once CIFS auditing is enabled on the OnTAP side). You configure the NetApp connector (under "Operating Systems") on an agent that can remotely access the NetApp system by UNC path. (There are some service messages that I…

If the patch did not fix your problem, you should contact Support. There may be an installation problem with the hotfix, or you might have a completely different problem. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

We think we have a solution. We are currently testing that solution. We want to be sure that it will actually fix the problem and will not break anything else. As soon as we're confident, we plan to release a patch. I won't promise a date because if this fix is not a real fix, we'll have to go back to the drawing board.…

We are actively looking into the problem. When we have a solution, we will post to the forum immediately. Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

I got it sortet out. I took the faulty servers into Maintenance Mode and then gave them a reboot. And well, that worked. So a reboot seems to heal strange problems not only on Windows Machines. I'd like to know if this also helped you.

Do the original groups still exist, or were they removed between import/export? (Export -> Delete -> Import, or Export -> Import without deleting?) I believe you should be able to import/export on the SAME appliance, but I'll double check. I know we have an issue importing/exporting ACROSS appliances right now that we're…

Screen cap shows that no volumes nor interfaces make it into the monitoring page for the host.

Screen cap showing checking of items of interest.

It should be able to add the gateway and you will get the message. After it is in the list click on the box next to it to select and then you should be able to edit the CLI Creds

+1 for sure!
-
Interesting suggestion. I hadn't heard that one before, but I can see the value.

This is funny. I just found my cd from a notepager pro purchase back in 2003 for the old solarwinds server! :) I have the same question, but as I understand it, VM's cannot access serial ports of the physical machine. So we're kinda screwed I think.

Quite a few of these are coming in the next release. We'll be in Beta just after the new year.
-
Great list. We're finalizing the shape of the next release now, so this is perfect timing.
-
Well, the reason I ask is that I want to use the data from old Orion and use it in new V10 eval. if I have to go back to old data I am hoping there is no problem.
-
check your SNMP client and make sure it is the same as the ones this is working on. Seems newer servers with virtualized interfaces are having more issues with SNMP than older ones that do not virtualize the connections.
-
I'm having the same issue. Just finished upgrading to 5.0.1 and cannot login to the application console. I *am* able to login to the admin portal (:5480).

quote:Originally posted by vbowers I know that I replied to this topic early on, but wanted to chime in again. I agree with several other posters in asking for better integration with Application Monitor. We should be able to imbed app monitors in our maps for alerting purposes just as we can network interfaces. Again,…

Chris, Have you opened this up as Support ticket? If we can replicate that, it's something I'd want to schedule for a fix. Thanks, Denny
