I just uploaded a template called ApacheWin with some WMI stuff for Apache. You'll find it under the "Shared Templates on thwack" tab when you click the "Manage Applications" button on the APM Summary page.

Did you click on the little ... box at then end of the error and does it say Invalid input: in the window that pops up when you do? If so, the template is wrong for the device and you will have to put correct values in for the Commands Startup and Running and save it with a new name. Then go into NCM and change the Device…

Does anyone know how to pull this? Maybe a SQL query? I'd love to be able to include these in emails. Thanks, Mike
-
It's still the same in v8, but web-based administration is one of the major enhancements coming in the next version, due out in the first half of this year.
-
It's not possible in 2.0. It got cut, but it will work as expected in the next release.

If nobody has any information on how to fix this issue, does anyone have any different ideas on how to e-mail reports?

The manual process includes the URL: Manually applying connector updates using the CMC interface - which is downloads.solarwinds.com. That said, SolarWinds uses akamai for downloads (which is why you're seeing the connection out to akamai), so for the IPs we'd have to rely on them. Unfortunately, akamai doesn't publish the…

EOC 1.0 will work with Orion 8.5, 9.0, or 9.1.

Hi Andreas - I'd suggest logging a ticket with Support and flagging it as Urgent as the database needs some immediate attention. Also: - Reference this thread to Support. - Post back here with a case number. - Post any solutions you get from Support Thanks! :-)

Have you tried the Release Candidate? It's in your portal. We are going to release it soon. We have changed our process a bit to allow broad testing of the RC to ensure that the quality is up to snuff. I can tell you that we've had quite a few people put RC2 into production, and the results have been good. I'm pretty that…

Hi Jabob, Thank you very much for that information. I've found it very interesting. I post another screenshot of the Settings pages that I have because I don't have the option that you talk about Manage Custom Properties. Maybe it locate another place or It not activate into that menu. Let me know what you think about…

If you're getting the message "OID is not supported", that means that when the UnDP makes a request of the device using that OID, the device doesn't recognize that OID. It has nothing to do with our MIB database--the UnDP can poll a device not in our DB. In short, it's probably the device or its OS. You might try doing a…

It's scheduled for a future release, but not v9.0.

SQL problems are common that arises with most of the users and it happened with me too. I appreciate that you work on it and shared it here. Thanks for sharing this. http://bestpowerdrills.net/cordless-drills/

I wonder if there was ever an answer to this.. guess what i got.. haha

What version is this occurring with?
-
yeah i am leaning with Andy toward you having issues with your data retention settings. remember if you change these to make sure your database is ready for the new settings. so your current is probably to hold 1 minute data for 7days and then roll up to 1 hour data for 30days and then 1day for beyond that and if you just…

Jim, Have you opened a Support ticket? If you think you're having a memory leak, we'd like to get diagnostics from you. Denny

APM 1.0 or 2.0?
-
Could you paste a screenshot of the two alerts?
-
Alas not ranges or subnets... just straight up wildcards (e.g. 192.168.0.*). But you CAN create a User-Defined Group that lists all of them or their wildcard versions and use that in filters/rules. You can even create that User-Defined Group as a CSV file and import it so you don't have to do so much clicking.
-
Yes. Go to the Advanced Alerts. VMware is an alert type in the dropdown. Select that, and you'll see options for alerts.
-
Same problem: 2 years we pay for this product, but all that we have when threat to support is "faeture request" or "never closed tickets". It looks that product is dead. Just like this branch of forum about EOC - Solarwinds team never ask for any questions...
-
I was trying to do something similar to this also and it seems that you cannot select a way for it to check the node that the interface is on unless you write a individual alert for each device.
-
NPM would check if the site is alive (ping) then APM/SAM would do an actual HTTP or HTTPS check on the site to see if it was functioning.

I have 26 HP printers with jet-direct cards doing this also. I am looking at one now showing 766938368% Rcv utilization and 140620976% Xmit utilization. These printers all work fine, and I've turned syslogging off on several to test. It shows the interface being overloaded is the loopback interface. This has made my…

Please give us better Email alerts, with easy ways to handle acknowledgements, and a way to interface with third party ticketing/call systems.

The great thing about Solarwinds is its visual approach to data. I would simply create a chart based report for CPU utilization across a group of nodes that has thresholds marked on it. You will be able to clearly see when nodes breach the threshold and when the cpu utilization returns down below the threshold. Doing it…

The recalculation is based on the current amount to migrate, so it's not starting over at 1% from your original data, it's at 1% of the remaining 50% (or wherever you were when you rebooted). Looks like it was overlooked in the release notes, though we did know it was going to happen. I'll check on what happened there.
