I upgraded last night to V12. I only had one issue with the database migration that support was able to resolve. If you use the embedded frontbase it will get migrated to Postgresql. I was excited about the asset management being native. Going to play around with it today see how it goes.

LEM is its own virtual appliance, so it IS a standalone VM And, it is structured such that the logs do need to go directly to LEM. You can forward logs you're already collecting in Orion to LEM, but you'd have to forward the raw syslog over.
