Yes, we are using the MOM connector. MOM is receiving the Orion alerts, need help in figuring out how to generate the alerts in MOM. Thanks!

Are you using the Orion MOM connector? Denny LeCompte Sr. Product Manager, Orion SolarWinds

finally found it tabular universal device poller

You're right - currently there's no way to export email templates. Your best bet right now is a screenshot. We're hoping to work on the import/export in groups in an upcoming release.

bump...

OK, so I have snmp working on the server and when I go to Edit Node and test the connection, it tests good. But, SAM is still reporting that the node is down. I've tried re-polling and rediscovering the node but it has not made a difference.

I don't know if the evaluation copy of NTA is any different from the production version. I know when we started enabling Netflow and were certain we had the traffic being sent and received, it was about 12 hours before we had any data in any of the Netflow resources. So if you just enabled Netflow, it may take a little…

1725/30apr07 I have been adding (1)x new 48-port Extreme Networks switch running XOS & the process has been ~2hours, so far, with only 28 interfaces discovered at this point. Each interfaces appears to take longer to add than the previous. This problem seems consistant with the BlackDiamond 8810, a/k/a Black Diamond 8810,…

I believe I solved this issue. When I changed the Assigned Poller to the new server, the devices showed up in the NCM application.
-
I think you've found a bug. That should be visible. We'll get it fixed.
-
No. That's not in 8.5. I won't be a in hotfix. Hotfixes are to repair broken functionality. We don't add features in hotfixes or service releases.

Probably checking for open files in the destination directory so it can make sure it can overwrite or delete everything necessary to help minimize problems. It sees the installer open and thinks Uh-Oh and aborts.

I found a blog post that offered a solution: http://www.mostlynetworks.com/2014/03/solarwinds-https-using-fqdn/ Seems that you need to manually edit the Websites table in the database. It allows you to change the server name to the FQDN, enable SSL, and select the port.

Opened a ticket as well, #754817

i second, third and forth this request... and add the ability to modify the template that was created witht he merge before submitting

Ran the configuration wizard and created a new account for the SWL server. Fixed.

Good post Sohail. I would like to know this too.

bump...any solution for this problem? Just upgraded to 11.0.1 and getting this on various nodes (not all nodes) when doing List Resources.

I contacted support, and I have a couple of ways to approach the issue. I did not want to disable the Asset Inventory, so the idea of going into the database and using SQL studio to disable nodes wouldn't have fit me. Even if I change the inventory to run every 7 days, then it would just make my problem into a weekly…

The way the active response connectors work, it's looking for a certain series of prompts and sending a certain series of commands. If they don't match in some way or another, you can see the errors above. Chances are you'll have to file a support case and have the dev team dig in on this one, I'd guess something has…

I can change your username to a different one, so that your email is not visible anymore. Feel free to send me a DM with the details and I'll take care of it.

Sounds like a tricky one to blame on Solarwinds. I would be tempted to upgrade network card drivers and possibly firmware. There are many variables to be considered here. What apps are you running? How much memory does this machine have? What model are the network cards? How many CPU's + cores do you have? I have run many…

Hey Kris, One of the things we've found is that it's helpful to set reservations for min/max settings, even if you're not on the high end. Letting VMware decide means that it's constantly adjusting and that constant adjustment seems to come at a price. The second network adapter is used in some configurations, but…

Is there a way to do this with Application Pools instead of Nodes? I tried Orion.APM and Orion.APM.Applications with the Unmanage verb and both return the 'verb not found: Unmanage' for each.

Are we looking at a component monitor? What is your threshold set to?
-
The old Custom MIB Poller has been removed. You now use the Universal Device Poller, which is launched from the Start menu.
-
better understand the Orion NPM variables first then you should specify the trigger conditions in your alters (whether basic or advance).

You need to set up Dependencies for each router. So when the router fails the systems dependent on it do not alert. Go to Settings > Manage Dependencies.
