Sometimes we see issues when the LEM appliance can't contact the IPS using the info provided, but without more detail I'm not sure. Can you paste the entire error event that shows that stack trace? We might also need to look at settings and logs, and we can provide a manual URL to make sure that it's working period.

We have an Oracle DB user experience monitor. If your DBAs can write a query to gather than info from the database, then we you can create a monitor for each of those stats.

If VNQM doesn't meet your need you might want to check out these tools but they are pricey. They don't simulate traffic but monitor QoS on live network. ActionPacked Networks NetScout and here Tonesoft

Hi Richard Graham, You can just go to the Follow button on the right side and then click Stop Following. Let me know if you need more help with this. Kind regards, Maria

You could use the 'Top 25 Percent Down - Last Month' report and modify it to show only the top 10 records and filter only your MPLS sites. However, I'm not sure how to retrieve total down time on a node.

All Service Packs are cumulative.

NPM won't automatically remove items. You're need to manually delete them. You should be able to select the node in Web Node Management and delete the interfaces that aren't valid anymore. If things still aren't matching up correctly, you may want to delete all the interfaces for that node, and re-add them using List…

There's no need to create domain accounts. You can continue to use the local EOC server accounts.

The UDT 3.0 release notes does not provide compatible NPM requirements. Can 3.0 be installed with NPM 10.3.1 ?

I understand the page that shows you why an application monitor is failing but this is on the Manage Assigned Application Monitors page that shows the "Status" of the node to be "Unmanaged" that will not change even if I change it. I see all of the counters for the application as expected It just doesn't make sense that it…

This is a regional settings issue that we are targeting for the next SP. As a work around, you can set your regional settings to en-us, and the test application should work.

Well... there's a couple of ways to go about it. One way would be to detect the User Logon, then the launch of a browser process (chrome, iexplore, firefox, etc) from the same user. That'd all rely solely on events from the OS, so it'd be pretty tidy, but it does not tell you where they were going - if you care. You do…

Did you ever get an answer on this? I have the same issue using ${LastBoot-Previous} with Advanced Alert. Does anyone know?

So apparently what I'm looking for is how to determine my public IP address. Any ideas? Thanks

Some additional details: I am using this to share pictures with my family (for personal use), on a Windows 10 machine with Kaspersky Total Security (configured to allow FTP access), and a D-Link DIR-890L router.

Ahhh. I thought I would get new entries on the Net Perf Mon entry... So you're saying the only place to view the new data is on the webpage?
-
If you customize your view for that device there are several new options of charts you can add to display custom poller data, and there's also a custom poller status that will show the current values for all custom pollers on that device. (That was handy for troubleshooting) All of these charts have the option to hide them…

Maybe I'm a bit dense, but once I've assigned a custom MIB poller to a node, where do I see it, or how do I use it?

I just downloaded the copy I'm using on Tuesday.

I'm also having issues. I tried adding a custom OID for cisco QOS information, when I add the OID it says it polls successfully and returns a value, but I'm not getting any information from it, and my event log says its not supported. Requested OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.11.194.4250097. is not supported by the target…

You could do this through an "Action Rule" by modifying the ticket. So, if you have this custom field for all Request Types, you could just set it at ticket creation to modify the ticket and select '2' for your custom field for all new tickets. If it is only for a certain request type, you can narrow that down as well. If…

It probably not there because you don't have NCM installed. You want log into your NPM server, Start, Programs, Solarwinds Orion, Alerting, Reporting, and Mapping. Click on Advanced Alert Manager. Clink on Configure Alerts. Pick an alert you are using. Click on Trigger Actions tab, Click Add New Action. Click Send…

Having this feature would make this report a piece of cake. Please vote, if you haven't already!

Hi Borgan and theknat- SInce the device is forced into the NET-SNMP Object Identifier, how does one force the custom poller view to display when we want to view the Node details? I know this sound n00b, but I am not finding this at the moment. Thanks! Mike
