This started for me in 5.1.1

How about a packet of size 3929 (data being 3871); obviously not supported on Gigabit Ethernet with a standard MTU.
-
I've been thinking about it, and I don't see it. You would need Alert B to be aware of Alert A, and we don't have any way for one alert to refer to another. I'll take it as a feature request.

I'll take this as a feature request.

This can happen with SNMP traffic, its classed as low priority traffic and there are a few reasons dependant upon environment why you may not see this traffic. This is where an average would be applied based on the stats you have. What is it you are hoping to see specifically?
-
Yeah, I also would like to know if there is a workaround until a SP is released? Is there a SP coming soon? 1.0.1 has been out for a while.

Hi gidem, I moved the thread to the NetFlow Traffic Analyzer forum, to ensure you get an answer to your question. Meanwhile, here you can find some information about unique visitors. Hope this helps. Maria

While attempting to drag and drop a .TXT file from a compressed (zipped) folder, the following error message appeared: "An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down." The OS is Windows XP and the Log Viewer is a Licensed version.

All services can run on the additional poller except for the Alerting Engine and the job scheduler, which should not run. Traps and Syslog services are optional. All other services should run on the poller So thanks to Casey and Pasha, all services can run on the additional poller except for the Alerting Engine and the Job…

There currently isn't a way to get a table poller to show up on gauges, I'll get it added to internal feature lists, to make sure that it gets considered for things in the future. That said, how would you expect it to work? 1 gauge for each phase? 3 phases on 1 gauge? Something else entirely? Let us know.
-
That's a great feature request. It's not possible at this time, however.
-
Not in the current version, but this will be possible in a future version.
-
hey, I managed it by a workaround: just send the command "set console page 0" to deactivate the paging prompt before the get config and reactivate it after that. works fine now, just in case someone has the sam problem. cheers.

One thing to check is if you have any NULLs under the Location field as this can cause issues. Also having the fieldname with space or special characters might cause an issue like this.
-
It's not an officially supported version, but it should work.

10.4 is synchronizing changes to clock, which we can help detect changes to if it's reported by the system. Windows, for example, will log when the clock times are adjusted or changed to a non-synchronized source. You can also do something like build a filter for detection times reported in the past, or see in real-time as…

Jim, This is a good suggestion. We will definitely consider it.

Issue is still occuring, The very first switch I have added to a brand new blank database and it does the same as above. You can see the database is not being properly populated, This occurs in both MSDE and MSSQL Express databases.

Thanks for the reply.... My problem is that the web server and the orion application are on a remote server in our data center and the operators who monitor the network 24X7 are in a different room using a web browser from a different PC. This is why I need the account that they use to never automatically log them out. Can…

Here's an Idea. Although not exactly what you want. Don't see why it wouldn't work. Turn your SQL into a report (you can also turn the report into a resource to make a custom view) Schedule Report in report Scheduler and pick your email recipients Go to your Orion directory and look for Job-xxxxxx files Find the one for…

You need to stop the poller, make the update, and then start the poller again. The poller is the "master", not the database. The poller only takes database info when it starts up.

It may also be a Tech Permission setting, since I believe the defaults are that these field are not editable. If you go into "Setup-Techs-Tech Permissions", there are the following options for date edit: * Open Date Edit * Close Date Edit * Note Date Edit * Due Date Edit

I agree. I added this in a "feature request" post I made. If you have any other requests, reply to that thread! post 'em up!

This is not something we've heard of. I would suggest contacting Support on this one since no one seems to have any wisdom on the problem.

It looks like you received a number of TCP packets (that I would assume were blocked, though could have been allowed) that the log data indicated were all missing SYN flags. You can see this rule if you go to Build > Rules and search for the "inference" type rules, or "PortScan". If you open the rule and look at the…

I'm new to LEM/SolarWind (2 days old to be precise) so my answer may be riddled with bad practices... In any case, like you, I just discovered that SoftwareInstall events are primarily MSI executables and was not in the least bit satisified ... Here's the rule that I've created to filter out exe runs (generally…
