I got this error.

It's not a matter of sorting the outputs by using ORDER BY. It's a matter of the Orion "Report Grouping" not giving me an option to sort the Bandwidth groupings as descending. Screen shot for reference: http://i.imgur.com/juzTZ.jpg Anyway here is the entire SQL query with the ORDER BY in bold at the bottom. DECLARE…

as per final customer request i can't modify language i tried with a old event logforwarder and with 1.1.19 version it works correctly but it is an evaluation 30 days version so i cannot use this as final solution

Thanks for your response, I will look into the alternatives.

ok on the testing of the email I changed the value above to "1" and still didnt get an email (after waiting 15 minutes)... I should note, this is a template name (POA MySQL) that is applied to multiple nodes. I've also verified that the busyworkers on all three nodes have more than one value and have for some time....

Thanks for the reply, this worked perfectly for me!

Hey, This is exactly what I'm trying to work out at the moment I've been collecting the data using the same OID you mentioned for a while now, but as my SQL knowledge is minimal at best I'm having trouble extracting a usable report from it. Care to share how you went about it? Cheers in advance, Jason

Thank you for your reply. I have been looking for a way to send you the output of the log file as suggested, but there is not an option to attach a file. I am very sorry for pasting the long text that follows: 2015-06-24 09:53:06,694 [STP SmartThreadPool Thread #0] DEBUG SolarWinds.Orion.IpSla.Cli.CliBatchExecutor -…

If you're on 10.0, you should be able to set up a discovery that will scan those devices on a schedule. If new volumes are found, they'll be reported to you on the notification bar.

Worked great, sadly I had the business requirements wrong. Gonna start a new thread.

We plan to add this in the next release.

Thanks bshopp! Look a bit more down and you will find what you looking for, I would say.

With a TWIN turbo button...

Hi, I haven't received any appropriate solution for it. Can you please help me for the above listsed parameters monitoring through Solarwinds Suite

I looked into that, but I want to create a view that displays these components and then apply that view to multiple SQL servers. Creating a new view for each SQL server and then assigning the specefic node/components to each view would be way too much to do. I have over 300 SQL servers, so with the component custom object…

Thanks for the replys. Yes, this was the first real nasty upgrade. Release notes didn't quite make it clear that some fundamental changes were being made. My mai issue is I don't have a test-bed, I only have production. That's going to have to change. Still and all, it is a good product and I like it but a full re-install…

Well, I don't believe I can do that for awhile, our support expired. I submitted a Purchase request on January 10th, I just found out that it was delayed for so long that the quote expired, so the process has to start over again. Also, that means no support until it's paid for. We had support but it expired, so this new…

Unfortunately due to constraints in our upstream provider (Crystal Reports), LEM Reports does have to be both installed and ran as an administrator. We're hoping that in either a future runtime of Crystal Reports or version of LEM Reports, we'll be able to untie from that requirement.

...our SQL team found that our DB was highly fragmented. They created a job to clean this up when fragmentation reached 30% and I can tell you this made a drastic increase in performance. LGentile, would you be willing to share the job? If the Add node was just one page, but had button to configure each other thing, then…

matt, If you rerun the additional poller installer for the new module and you have applied hotfixes to NPM and other modules, will the hotfixes be retained? Does the additional poller installer detect the new module was installed on the primary poller and only install it?

Thanks for the answers and clearing up my confusion on what is being polled for each type of resource. However, now I'm confused about what the pollers are doing when polling the status of an Interface or Volume via SNMP. There are settings for "Polling Intervals" and "Polling Statistics Intervals". When a poller is…

Thank you very much phil3. You helped me a great favor.

I know this is a narrow minded use-case but there are certain countries that our sites should NOT be communicating with. If one of these countries is detected by NetFlow I want to be able to send an email alert, ring bells, spin around and make the sun rise. Is that enough or do you need more?
-
Thanks emoney for pointing me in the right direction. I think that will do exactly what we need.

We are a 100% MS shop, IE only. I’ll open a ticket. I’m still trying to get the system back up and running. I have a ticket for that already and the engineer was very helpful, I just have a long wait until DB Maintenance finishes. Thanks

Thanks for the additional options. The custom field idea has given me an idea for other situations as well. Thanks.

Thank you. I went in and set it up for next time. I choose both nodes and apps - not sure if both were necessary or if nodes would have sufficed. Thanks fo your help.

quote:Originally posted by pwatkins We use this OID and MRTG to monitor our QOS queues: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.166.1.15.1.1.11.1875.1877 The last 2 numbers change depending on the router and even after a reload they change, it's real annoying. We are a large Solarwinds shop, but, I have found their custom MIB support lacking.…

I've had responding with more thoughts on my to-do list for a while, but never got around to it... so here's some thoughts on the examples I listed. 1. Company has a situation where downtime directly costs them money, but does not invoke any regulatory compliance issues. A virus, an outage, etc, means people are literally…
