More thorough support for ALL Cisco devices so I can dump CSM, bleh F5 BigIP support would be big for a lot of people, but I can imagine that would take a lot of additional development.

That's a great idea, I'll test the output message and go from there. Thanks!

The ability to search the node list. Stronger config editor, maybe with cisco syntax highlighting Better integration with other products like Orion and Engineer's toolkit.

Hi, I just tried it and it didn't worked using the @gmail account. I even checked my firewall and it's showing that it's allowing the connection.

I have never experienced database shutdowns or mismatches. I have seen the SQL database access slow down quite a bit and this in turn made Solarwinds very slow.

Thanks for the reply. I'm in the process of upgrading to the most recent version of WHD now. Once I'm done I will look into creating that manager field. Is there a way to automate the manager selection by any chance?
-
Thanks. I know you can do this with XP and Win 7 in \root\SecurityCenter2 but 2008 does not have this namespace. I will be curious to see how you guys get this info from WMI!

CORRECTION! It is now working with 10.6. I realized I made the change to the wrong Dev server which is running NCM 7.2 standalone, not our NPM 10.6 Dev server. Sorry for the confusion! Again, thanks for your help!

Good thought! I hadn't copied a file into the folder yet. I have done that and it works for 10.5 (Prod server running 2008 R2 Server). I now see the subfolder in Manage Accounts listed in the Report Limitation Category dropdown list. However, it is not working in 10.6 (Development server running 2003 Server). The subfolder…

The last search i did had 600+ pages.. Im not sure how much spare time you have but thats just silly... A database is a database... If you can search 1 forum you can search 5. How complicated would it be to give the user the option to search multiple forums? I think it makes sense to break the forums down into version and…

Andy I wanted to be sure I understood your answer correctly. I CAN connect a new instance of Orion on a new server to the existing SQL database WHILE the old Orion instance is running. Is this correct? SQL performance isn't an issue (the SQL team gets more funding than we do and the cluster is ridiculously powered)

Hi, Where we are multi-tenanted and have 300 customers. Is there a way to limit individual customers so that they can only view their ipsla statistics? Or do i have to create a view for every client?

If you are using 9.5.1 this is what I found. I searched the Solarwinds folder looking for www.solarwinds.com and found it in MenuBar.ascx in the C:\Inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion\SolarWinds\Orion folder. This worked on one server but on the other server I had to delete this section from the…

Yep SP3; re-install (poller & web) happened this last weekend when we moved our database (based on our performance phone call last week). It's really weird, we never tried to publish remotely until just recently.
-
hi there, unfortunately it would not... it would man that a single poll-positive would trigger, but the time-to-trigger variable is to allow you to ensure alerts are real, and not blips... good thinking though

*bump :-) whats happening on the forum, everyone on vacation?

Can anyone help?

guys, we really need an official ETA on the SP. the SP1 issues are killing me... i have a 9.5 install. i was told to remove SP1 using repair. i have tio install 2 new pollers, and an additional webserver by the end of the week, but the version on the solarwinds website are 9.1SP1, so i can not install them as the DB is…

hi bshopp, I have that already in the web view and I get a table similar to this 123456780 1212 123456781 2323 123456782 3434 123456783 4545 123456784 5656 123456785 6767 I cant find anyway to rename the 12345678x figure to what I want. What about SQL? could it be done through an SQL query?

We added this in SP3.

Thanks a lot for sharing the guide and reply, Will try to dig deep to get to the bottom of this. Will keep you guys posted. Thanks.

We would like to monitor application running on mongodb using query. Sharing the existing alert querying an Oracle DB. Similarly, We would like to know if we can select MongDB instead of Oracle (Oracle driver) as Database type, provide the data source and SQL statement to run it against the mongo DB and get a result from…

Thanks. I looked at it, my eyes crossed , and I forwarded it to the security manager in hopes that he can make sense of it. I wonder why SNMP-related account setup are not in the same section of the configuration interface since they are closely related. I'll post the answer, if we find one, here to help out someone with…
