Are the links here to be found anywhere in the Success Centre? I can't seem to find them myself.

I also don't understand why we should deviate from the company standard, which is IE to use browser with a faster JS engine? I mean, the engineers toolset is designed to work on IE and not firefox? We don't have a beef with IE in general. IE 7 and 8 work well. But IE 6 is a problem because it is so non-standard.

Very nice! that did it for me thank you!

That explains the version mis-match. Every day I learn something new about WHD and realize how much more there is to go. Thanks for your help! -Chris

in my case the standard for auditing is success and failure of Priv Use. the audit policy doesnt log an event based on what privs a UID has, it logs if the priv is invoked (as defined by audit settings). so the question is, why does using the WMI method invoke this backup privilege, the polling is not doing any sort of…

I concur with Brian. At least at the moment, I'm not favorable to the "most available poller at any moment" concept not knowing or having control over which poller polls what devices. Our pollers are not geographically dispersed but devices are assigned to pollers based on Organization. I like the dynamic capability but…

Hi there, Thanks for the reply, it is nice to know someone else is looking into such things too. However, it sounds like you are after something that prevents multiple "down" alerts when a site goes down (i might be wrong here of course) and if you are, this can be achieved taking your "site" property a step further and…

Andy, Excellent - thanks for the info. I was actually trying to keep these repeating error messages out of the event log which flush all of the other events from it. I've set the polling interval for 1200 seconds (max) to reduce the occurance of these. DFZ

Good afternoon Ashley! Thanks for your useful hint. It works great. The resource "Active alerts" is only limited in the view where it is used. All other views which do have any limitations still show all alerts (as far as I can see). So my demand seems satisfied. Thanks again! Cheers -Sascha

Hi Nicole, Thanks for your response. The Barracuda Admin connector successfully pulls in syslogs from our load balancers, but not our spam & virus firewalls... Edit: The Admin side works after using generating an event with a failed login. So that's good! But I still need to figure out the mail-side syslogs. I tried a Node…

It's on the roadmap, but I don't have a firm date. \

I was able to perform the steps as mentioned and change the certificate for SWIS on 17778 port, with only a small difference. In step 5, I had to enter the following: httpcfg set ssl /i 0.0.0.0:17778 /h <certificate thumbprint from step 5> Notice the switch from '-' to '/'. Checked the proper SSL cert assignment using…

If a given device triggers an alert, it will stay triggered until the reset condition is met. If 200 ms triggers the alert but 100 ms doesn't reset it, then you'll get one alert.

Hijacking an old thread. I have SAM 5.0.1, does Windows Event Log Monitoring come in this version? I don't see it, is it another module?

Thanks for your reply. These switches have no IP address so cannot respond to ICMP. Map image is below.Node details are all unknown and name will be something like Unidentified_252. I think I can infer the identity of the switch from the connected nodes but I am curious about how NTM determines what nodes are connected to…

So right now I'm using proactiveNet to monitor how many data files the are in a folder. Most of the day the number of files are below 50 but around midnight this number can spike up to 1,000 data files for a couple hours as you can see from the graph above. I want to be able to use threshold on an hourly baseline. Right…
