Thank you for your information , I try to assign value to each of the device but i don't find. do you capture page or step configuration ? Thanks.

I too am seeing this issue - since going to APM2 there are now 3 SWJobEngineWorker.exe processes running at all times now - they are all using between 160-200Mbytes of real memory and a similar amount of virtual. CPU utilisation runs anything up to 20-30% for any one process at times (and other times as low as 0%). Killing…

We want to look into this. We need more detail. How many monitors are you running on how many servers? Can you open a Support ticket so that we can gather more detail?
-
Correct

I have to admit that I spotted the post by James about an hour ago. I have forwarded the information to my colleague who looks after the Cat Tools installation. I've not seen it myself to be honest, so I don't know how different 3.4 and 3.6 are. I'm hoping there's not much difference. I will post back how we get on. Thanks…

Hi jswan, Thank you for reply. I understood how TTO works. By the way, do you know whether we can know how many flows does NTA receives?

Is there anyway to just show in APM (report or resource) that would simply show a rollup of availability? For example: Web Availability (template name) 100% - HTTP (100%) - Assigned node 1 (100%) - Assigned node 2 (100%) - HTTPS (100%) - Assigned node 1 (100%) - Assigned node 2 (100%) This way you can add this resource on…

I am in the same boat, and responsibility for running Solarwinds was recently given to me, so I'm running to learn how to manage it. How did you add the custom field? I like the idea of environment field and I guess you can put a rule in that requires environment = PRD for the alert to trigger?
-
Thanks Josh... I will try this and let you know.

I wish there was a way to make bulk interface statistic polling changes rather than having to change each individual interface. What version are you running? You can do exactly what you're asking for in NPM v9.1 in the web console.
-
Hi remi f, Have a look at this doc about troubleshooting hardware health: Troubleshooting Hardware Health.pdf Hope this helps you.
-
I did see those in the built in templates, but when I went to assign them to a server they were not able to poll anything.
-
We'll look into it.

That works in 12.2 and 12.2-HF1. I wish it could be fleshed out even further and show it ONLY on the exact request type you would want. So if you have a 'parent' type and a 'child' type, if you create a FAQ for the 'child' it only shows by choosing the child and not the parent.

Thanks!

Just an FYI to anyone else reading up on this. I got the APM 3.0 but it told me I had to grab the Orion SP3 before I could install. Once I got SP3 installed, this appears to work like a champ (AMP 3.0). Will continue to play and learn. Thank You!

This is a good fix I'm having a bit of trouble locating that line of code for the JSP compiler in the web.xml file though I can only seem to find the following: <!-- The JSP page compiler and execution servlet, which is the mechanism --> Is that the correct line?
-
Ditto - there are a lot of posts out there discussing this dated several years back so I find it disheartening that it hasn't been implemented by now. There are several hacks posted but seems that this could just as easily be included in the base Orion install.

For example: I have a server, call it AAA. AAA has just died. This activates a trigger for the node being down. I'll call the trigger BBBnodeDown. This in turn creates an alert for AAA. I've been told that the alert generated by this trigger will stick around until the trigger has been reset for AAA. So where in the…

I want to add a trigger action to all the alerts, the same trigger action. For example - all alerts will have trigger action that send me email.

I see what you mean. What I did was build a custom report based on an existing top conversations report. I filtered it by the node and interface I was interested in and then identified a specific time frame of about 30 minutes. While this didn't get me individual polls, it provide a fairly small sample that made more sense…

I'm hoping (although not promising) that we'll get a no-timeout option into the next release .
-
Well golly, guess I did ask, in a way. Maybe my old brain can't keep up with all of this new fangled stuff that Solarwinds is putting out..... Doesn't hurt to keep pushing for change right????
-
Yeah. I was thinking it was on the router side but found out that the option was not enabled within one of the settings in solar winds. Once I turned it on there it started working. Thanks
-
Thanks. I searched for actual words from the error, but not "strange error" <grin>. I guess it is a "feature" in v8.1 afterall...

That's a big help. Thank you. our versions: Orion Platform 2018.2 HF6, NCM 7.8, SRM 6.7.0, WPM 2.2.2, DPAIM 11.1.0, NPM 12.3, VMAN 8.3.0, NetPath 1.1.3, SAM 6.7.0, NTA 4.4.0

Thanks Derik for your support. Do you know where I can found a supported devices list ??? Rgds Carlos

Hi all, any movement on this functionality? i just found 4 servers that were GREEN in orion, but i ran a report and found there were no disk space stats being collected. It turned out SNMP had either stopped or hung on these servers.. We need to be able to do an SNMP PING to these devices to check if they are collecting…

I made those changes. It still doesn't change the outcome. The Detection IP is still the private address.
