Not sure what you mean by "remove". "lchance" is talking about removing the resources from the web, which is important. If by "remove" you mean "unassign", then go back to the UnDP user interface, which is on the Orion server. Launch it. Go to the node you assigned it to, drill down, and you'll find a folder called…

Still a novice user of EOC but off the top of my head... 1) Tighter use of page space. Currently the resources look loose and could be tighten up to allow more on the page. 2) The ability to roll up node or interface lables from remote Orions. For example, on my Orions I have calculations for bandwitdh utilization for…

Yes of course. Here's the poll I created which fail. Note: The default poller (Node details by Solarwinds) show the device's company names, logo and other information that my poll doesn't show. Another strange thing with the NPM Administrator guide, I cant find a step in the "Edit node" section: Also, my two probes which…

Helllo Michal, Thanks for responding. I worded this question badly. I was really asking about IP SLA history collection. Other posts indicate IPSLAM and VNQM do not collect IP SLA history and this is why we have IP SLA Manager creating blocking transactions when IP SLA operation frequencies are much less than 5 minutes.…

Well we just want the Networking folks to be alerted about the Routers, Switches, etc and the Server guys for the servers. At the moment, both are classed as 'Nodes' so everyone is alerted about everything!!
-
Thanks Raul will have to try this.
-
Thanks! I think that pretty much does most of what I was looking for. I did have to rename my pollers to show meaningful names on the graph. Which I could just associate a different label for the poller in the custom graph. But this works well enough.
-
Byrona, you are correct. UnDP's use the same interval as the node's statistics polling interval.

Thanks for your reply. I found the NPM 11.0.1 on Solarwinds site. I install it and now IPAM 4.2 is working. The "Available Product UPdates" feature seems not working well. Alterego is right. PMs here prefer to by annoying by erring on the side of saying too little. The other side of error leads to a lot worse than annoyance. That said, with EOC, we will focus on usability improvements and on incorporating new functionality that's shipped in modules since EOC 1.0 was released. What are you…

Does anyone know when the product road-map has a native x64 build of Orion on it? For a product of this complexity I'm pretty certain it would do wonders to have more than 4GB of memory available to it. It's not especially important to us. Having more than 4GB of RAM is not critical to Orion. There are lots of way to solve…

The Solar Winds troubleshooting document recommends using wireshark. But it makes the assumption that if you use Wireshark that you won't see the CFLOW packets if you're having a problem. It does not address the issue of a) Yes I am receiving CFLOW packets and b) Solar Winds NTA is not displaying/interpreting them.

Yep, that fixed it, thanks!

Yes, I would like to filter, and also possibly group/merge related messages. in example if we get alert from our syslog server and PRTG from the same device, it would be perfect if we could group/merge these messages somehow. Thanks! Br 0la

oh dead oh dear oh dear... i accept all attacks that call me stupid... i forgot that you had to copy the reports to the additional webserver... LOL... sorry......... :-)

I just clicked on the "Re-apply polling statistics interval" and this seems to have added my new polling interval to existing interfaces. Woo hoo!

Converting to UTF-8 seems to work. Even though the WHD docs explain how to pre-configure the db configs to force UTF-8 and lowercase table names, I do wonder, though, why the schema shipped with WHD doesn't simply define the relevant tables as UTF-8 explicitly, or at least why the app doesn't provide a warning when the db…

Yes, I was setting the building switch as the parent and having all down stream devices in groups based on what building they were in.
-
Sure. Even better, can you post it to Thwack (unless you already have)?
-
Maybe they should abolish the leader board all together? it makes us at the bottom feel sad.
-
you'll need to shut down the polling engine(s) before you try this. If you're using Orion 9.0, you do not need to shut down the poller to make database changes. The poller now treats the database as authoratative rather than the other way around.
-
Is that the only polling method for Engineers Toolkit?

Craig, Not a report an alert. Currently if I use ${SystemUpTime} in my Alert email I get a number like 199.16 instead I want to see that as 0:13:54.10 like I do when I do an snmpwalk. It appears I have use cooked for that but cant get it working. When something boots I also want to know the previous uptime, ie was it 407…

When I preview the report or execute the SQL query in Orion System Manager - > Report Writer, I get the error: SQL Error: Cannot assign default value to local variable. I'm looking this up on twack now.

Thanks! Will test tomorrow!

I was working with William in tech support and we found a bug (say it isn't so....) in EOC. If I drag the Orion servers to the map in MapMaker the icon stays green. If I do a nested map they show the proper status.

I also have some Avaya questions....Avaya says that if I want to put a community string in, I have to buy their software, and if i want to monitor i have to buy servers and more software. I just want to put in my community string and use Orion / VoIP Monitor. Any info anyone can offer? Thanks.
-
Never mind - I got it working. I had run the test job against a switch that did not support it. Thanks!
-
Thanks for the reply.... I did as suggested and yes, it works but how do I get the output to a file? I was hoping to get it either to a report or better yet to a test file. I need to be able to run this against switches and then compile that information to get to another department.

That seems like a lot especially if I'm trying to get it removed from all computers on my domain. What changed that the old versions don't get removed anymore? I can understand going from 7 to 8, but now all minor revisions don't get uninstalled? That is definitely different from 7.
