I got the same thing.

Yes.

the idea is to create a dynamic group based on software installed on the node. then you take that dynamic group and apply the application monitoring template to the group. now when new nodes get added to solarwinds and they have SQL installed, they automatically get added to the group and automatically get the app monitor…

yes maintenance should be proper

wlarsonii, I see that you got the 1,500 points. so congrats on finishing the onboarding mission!

Is it bad that today's question I knew the answer without looking... Ahhh watched to much Monty Python.

OR Solarwinds could allow the option to turn off the notification bar which is why I've made this feature request.

When this is all finished, I'd love some explanation of what the correct answer for the 300 point question from the week of 4/7! I think the question got my head all turned around.

Nice :-)

Thanks, I've looked at Opsgenie and it isn't unique, any third party service for paging or SMS messaging can do pretty much what Opsgenie does. Even the sales guys for Opsgenie said it wasn't anything special.

Where would this appear? Just in Manage > Nodes?

+1 We would also appreciate more fine grained permission settings (i.e. what users can check/uncheck when sharing files, password complexity, etc.)

I 100% agree with you. It should be enough to choose only one source (one interface) for line coloring on the map. It's crazy to make necessary that both sides of the line (link) should be on managed devices. Topology connection requirment is bad idea, because some types of L3 links (gre tunnels for example) also not…

Also, I agree with jeremymayfield! I have my premier tickets already, but there are some awesome things on ThinkGeek for the Jedi or Sith in all of us.

I hear so many stories of suffering... relating to PCI and GDPR. Companies need to get them sorted.

I bet that as people lost their chance at the grand prize, they just did what they could with the rest of the quizzes (or just bowed out) and stopped participating here.

Only 2 improvements? Seems a bit modest and disappointing for vnext. Sure is a pretty good size list of capabilities customers are looking for in UDT feature requests that are being ignored.
-
Thanks for the heads up! I'm looking into this.

I know most of you had concerns about last Tuesday's question (Day 17). and I just want to let everyone know that whether you chose the option "All of the above and more" or checked all boxes, you still received credit for that one, even if the correct one was just "All of the above and more". The reason I consider this…

I think this is a must inclusion for the next release, only being able to monitor Vman with ping and a very basic HTTP monitor in SAM means that we are basicly blind to what's happening with our appliance.
-
rharland2012, jbiggley, I have your answers. Hopefully, I will manage to remove the rule which triggers that error, but meanwhile, have no worries because your answers were successfully recorded.

Hi Mark Deadlock detection and reporting is for sure on the roadmap! I have you marked down for beta testing when we get to it, is that still ok? Kathy

Something along these lines is coming in the next release of NPM (11.5).
-
I'm going to get this in to my customers as soon as I can looks like a great advancement.
