How about IP address? The ports on a particular switch we use have devices plugging in and out of it at random times. We would like to see what device is plugged into a certain port at any time.

I am using 9.1 SP1 of Orion SLX. I have 2 polling engine and the SQL DB is external. I have 6 to 7 K interfaces on each polling engine, and atleast what I am hearing is that polling engines are supposed to be up to 8K. Thanks I would love to compare notes on equipment to see if there is something in this environment that…

I want the same scenario> i will work with that.. if any issues, I will catch you again.

Thanks for a fast response Andy. However, we already have a number of APC UnDPs configured and one is polling power status. The problem is, the UnDP polling interval is based on NPM's statistics interval (10 min for our shop). (Side bar - There is an open feature request that has existed for quite a long time, to add…

Actually, we are going to implement one change recently, I do not want our mailbox flood of 400 emails. So thats the reason I was looking for that. So there is no way out ?

i found something... i think solarwinds should buy them, and roll it into SOlarwinds to make it a unified alertign engine :-0 advanced email parse from tweak marketing. allows you to take in a email, manipulate it, and send it back out again. Basically like a syslog deamon and forwarder...…

I did as mbird suggested.

Yes I will do that it just struck me as odd that Solarwinds includes almost every other part of Citrix in their templates but not this module.

Thanks,

Yes please. Can you share your report with me? I'm not that great with complex sql statements.

As is typical with a new release, there have been a few bumps. In the next day or two, we will be releasing a hotfix that addresses the majority of these issues. .

Your exactly right, that's a new node, and since I'm looking for uptime for the previous month the data isn't there. I changed the time frame to yesterday, and it shows up fine. Thanks!

But there are members under the map. I have the state of Missouri. A map under the state are the individual cities: St. Louis, Kansas City. Each one of these have their own map. They have a dot (gray) that correspond to their map. Under each of their maps, I have the site I'm monitoring. So, I have: Missouri / \ St. Louis…

For example in "manage nodes", below the sort order is 10.10.2.6, then 10.10.2.62, then 10.10.2.8 etc.

We are polling: 116 Node elements 384 Interface elements 492 Volume elements I am also using SolarWinds to monitor our SQL server and the total server in general is OK, cpu is averaging 10% and memory is around 75% used. Let me setup performance stuff and monitor the queue length.

I didn't think there should be, BUT, what could be causing my problem?

Bogus transmit discards counters have been a common problem on the ProCurve 2600 and 2800 family of switches. I've had switches that weren't connected to anything but a single idle PC and the error counts were continually incrementing, even when there was no data. The problem would disappear with a new release of code and…

The box to disable alerts was checked for some reason. Unchecked that and it's working. Good call! Keith

I am on SAM 6.2.1 Here is a screenshot from a test I ran inside of one of my SQL service monitors: And yes, there is an additional polling engine involved as well. Very odd; If I go on faith, and look at the application monitor once it completes a polling cycle, it seems to be running just fine.

Thanks for your tip. It's not the issue but it got me thinking and pointed me in the right direction. I had the Transformation poller assigned to the nodes but I'd overlooked the raw data poller, so presumably there was no returned data to transform and then display. Once I had them both selected it all came good. Thanks…

1st user that can't unmanage node has 2 accounts: individual and via AD... both have permission to manage a node 2nd user - has AD account only and have admin rights sadly no errors are being shown upon doing the changes.. it just refreshes the page leaving the node to be un-edited
-
Yes superfly99, those are properly setup. It's weird that another user can do unmanage node... firewall was also disabled, still didn't go through

I am getting below error: XML::LibXML->load: specify location, string, or IO at node2.pl line 32. Please advice me what i am doing wrong. See attached node2.pl Thnaks.

My company can't afford to upgrade just yet. We took a pretty severe hit last year. That being said... Your answer is kind of not what I expected from such a great forum of intelligent users. I really need to figure out why Orion is not giving me historical charts. This should work out of the box and I cannot really…

Below are screenshots of all tabs, just in case:

no worries. It appears to have disappeared. not sure where or why it was showing up but will have to wait until it reappears again

I would like to know the answer to your question too.

I tried to remove the esx host and re-add it back but got the same result. I only get the red icon and it will not turn green. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix it?
-
I think it's hard to diagnose what's going on with the info available. Could you open a ticket? Please reference this thread.
