just to add the point I have pinged the node only after it came up. Because after the node came up only we have noticed that the particular Node is not having the problem in the interval that the alert got fired.

Hi Deltona, Thanks for the response. I do also like to mention that the device which is unable to access is coming up after 2 to 5 mins. And the Solarwinds is able to access all the other devices efficiently. If this is still a problem with installation then we can open a support case.

I'm sure this is probably things I am doing incorrectly, but to this point I can't get the Advanced Alerts to do anything. Only basic alerts work for me, and haven't had time to deal with it. "anything" is fairly broad. Have you tried with 8.5 yet? We made a lot of usability improvements to the UI.

It's not the license size. It's the fact that you're running NTA. NetFlow is a very disk-intensive application, so you need SQL Server to have its own box.
