You can add nodes via a SQL insert, but it's more complicated than you might expect since each node has a lot of properties (e.g., interfaces, volumes) associated with it.

Thanks! I'd been looking all over the place for these.

Thanks Jhynds, once I removed the domain before the username and the left the Domain name as simply the domain name (Instead of the FQDN of the server), it worked a treat!

Yep. I found I could use Machine Type in this case since my routers are all the same. Now I am working on how to get the actions to fire correctly. I have polling for the nodes set to 1 minute. I have my alert trigger condition to be the status is down then trigger action is send a message if still down after two minutes…

It seems to only be the SSH devices.

Are you a customer or evaluating? if customer you can open a ticket, if eval let me know and I can have an SE reach out to help. This is a continuation of case #257286 Support couldn't help me much so I figured I would just uninstall everything and reinstall it all so this is where I'm at.

synched means are the nodes configured for the syslog server or not and sending syslog messages. i am using ORION NPM

Yes, I am logged in as a domain administrator but it's being used on a closed network that is not accessible from the Internet.

It's from a report I made: Storage Array HP EVA\Performance\Controller Performance.

I'll be very clear. We have no plans to add any funcitonality to basic alerts. They are what they are. All features will be added to advanced alerts.

No internal site identifiers. I have thought about using IP's, looking into possibily going that way.

Can I modify the URL? Without further specification, a site that I want to monitor gives a 404. For example http://ip_address returns a 404, but http://ip_address/whoami.asp returns a 200. I'd like to use the latter to monitor that site.

Hi forum, Has anyone solved this yet? I am looking for a tool that will tell me specifically how much of each CoS is used up at any time, and possibly alert on it. I have routers with AF1 AF2 etc, each have a 1MB slice of a 10-MB pipe. I want to be able to report and alert on the utilisation as a percentage of the actual…

This is extremely cool, at least for the SW folks. We love nothing more than seeing how customers are using the product. .... well, we might love our children and spouses more, but it's a close thing. Please, folks, show us what you've got.

Works for me..."do not touch!". Thanks Matt.

Hi maria, Thank you for your answer. I could have the training course ? Best Regards, Camel

I appreciate your response HemiTruck. Unfortunately, an availability chart uses up too much real estate and UnDP wouldn't give the presentation I would like. A UnDP also duplicates polling for SysUpTime which is already maintained in the database. What I would like is what the obsolete code delivered; one line, Days,…

I will also have to implement the same.. Let me try that.

Have you enable Netflow for Multicast in your gear?

Thanks for the info... Is it OK to install this evaluation copy in live server environment and check it...

So if I'm doing this right, my alert group for CPU high look like this for multiple servers? This means that any server in the list will alert if CPU is over 95% for more than 15 minutes? Trigger alerart when ANY of the following apply: CPU Load is greater that 95 Node name is equal to Server1 Node name is equal to Server…

I believe so. I just upgraded to 8.5.1 this week from 7.somthing. so I'm new to the advanced alerts. I see the time for the trigger but I dont see where to select the node in question . I did just figure out how to create the condition (CPU load higher than 95%). I'll ge the manual up Thanks

Thanks Jeff, however the app pool time-out doesn't seem to be the cause of our problem. There are 3 app pools on the Orion Web Server, Classic .NET, Default and SolarWinds Orion. The time-out for all 3 app pools were at 20 minutes. I tried setting the time-out for the SW Orion app pool at 30 minutes, then did iisreset. The…

Follow these steps: 1. Delete the column from the database. 2. Run Custom Property Editor. 3. Select ‘Add Custom Property’ 4. Click OK.

Thank you RichardLetts, I was thinking of looking there and it is indeed the needed format for deletes and updates.

Are you up to dates on Service Packs? We fixed that alert issue.

After about 4 mins or so. "Problems Reading Reply from SolarWinds Key Server"

Thanks for the information. I also recently got an email from the user. He says that he can not login to the Web Console. So, now I'm thinking it is something specific to his account. If I create a new user, what permissions would he need if all I want him to do is : Access the Web Console Home page (which should be the…
