As far as what exactly? Lansweeper integrates with WHD is two ways: through the discovery connection and the asset options. And that creates for us some pretty decent asset management, unless your talking about reporting.

I used it before, I wouldn't use it again unless we couldn't afford to use anything else.

I have observed the same issue, it's brings 3 of our 8 polling engines to their knees due to the number of AppInsight for SQL additions that we do not need to monitor in Orion. Have you had any resolution from support?

Thanks for the update...

This works well for node down. I did not find the equivalent for component status or application status. It's better than nothing. thanks for the help.

Thanks. I'll look into using that type of trigger condition that to filter out as many events as I can.
-
I feel your pain Craig. I would like to see a global setting to enable/disable stripping of the domain as well as a checkbox to the enable/disable at the node level so you can be selective which node(s) you want the domain appended.

Bruce, That's a feature request, not a bug. We don't put features into patches. It's a request we'll consider for a feature release.

I'm using the Log Parser (Powershell) template and the New Strings Found component monitor. When it finds an error line it displays it in SAM, but I'm not able to add that info into the email that is sent when the alert is triggered.

Ok, has anyone out there got this to work? I have tried several ways to see if I could get this to work. I know that if I change teh too_debug option in the script to true and I can see the web page pull up but nothing gets filled out. Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting.... I just tried this on our other Orion server and it worked! Darn, now I have to troubleshoot why it isn't working on this one. Guess I will have to open 'another' ticket with tech support.

I tried that but no go. When I open that page and put in something different and submit and then check the stuff in the node popup boxes it still shows the default stuff. I even stopped/started IIS, cleared the Web Cache, etc. I am running 8.5.1 SP3 Stuck....

Hi bkyle, Yeah i tried that, as you can read in my problem description. "when i try to unselect the "Use this server" box it returns with an error "Please select an email server to use"." Ofcourse - and i did not mention this - the return box appears when i press "OK" So for some reason it won't let me unselect any smtp…

So why is there a filed "Name" in that wizard? What is that for if it doesn't appear on the email alert?
-
Sorry, not in the current version. We're considering some enhancements to Map Maker, and allowing objects to be associated with a wider variety of statistics is one of those enhancements. But no ETA.

Thanx for your feedback, excuse me as I am tottally new to this software, and my boss is keep asking me about that report in the discussion. I will appreciate if you share the example query, thanx in advance. And the monitored instance is SQL Server not Oracle. Hany

well, I see it . Thanks !

1. All three apply. It is an internal policy, requirement and needed for audits. 2. We currently are retaining 150 days on the server although our requirement is 365. We made a "group" decision about that far back to cut it to 150 days and if we needed records older than that, we would retrieve them from tape. We are just…

I need to know if I can monitor multiple clients on solarwinds? I have sam... but I need to know if that is enough or I have to buy a license for each client or I have to a special license for multi-tenant... Its kind of urgent... thanks a lot...

Thanks a lot, you saved me

Has anyone opened a ticket on this? Was there any resolution? Just curious.
-
Thanks for your help! This is what I needed.

Thanks Zac, I figured the default settings would take a heavy hit on the processor engine. I wanted to get back to where it was when the original guy set it up. He was a genius and had this running perfectly. I'm sure that keeping it at default won't hurt anything more than generating a lot of alerts.

This would partly do the job but I want the availability of the entire group as if Node 1 goes down it has no service impact as I still have Node 2 and 3 running...
-
#1. Multi-level grouping is coming in the next release. It will include component details. #2. I'll take that as a feature request.
-
Thanks for the info byrona! I guess I need to clarify my first question. We are required by certain regulations to keep records of success and failure login audits for 30 days. So your proposal for discarding the authentication successes does not work for me. My end goal is to have everything in the database but only have…

We're aware of the problem and are working on it.

Case # 224718 and we have changed the polling engine mode to Poller-Bound per instruction. Yes we have APM installed on both main and additional poller. It works correctly on main but not on additional.

mcoupe wrote: It would still be great, for the record... This made me laugh. Are you looking for the NetApp audit logs (the ones that look like Windows audit logs, with File Audit activity), or the NetApp service logs (stuff that gets syslogged about issues on the device itself)? In either case, I think we may have a…

I have found solution: go to Node Detail then List Resource Select CPU & Memory (if is not), press Submit Click Rediscover CLick Poll Now Now NPM report correct values.
