Mike, Sorry for the delay in response as I have to build quite a few APM instances before end of year. What you provided hit the target and has been very helpful. ' Thanks...

We'll be adding improved functionality for this scenario in 8.5.

Brandon, I actually had to edit this post because the behavior i am seeing is not an exactly the same.. icons are imported but it appears only those that are square actually are usable. Is this related to the same issue? new?

Yes, but for the view in question, here is the error: Please notify SolarWinds of this error. We will address and help you fix the issue. Your specfic error is: This view type (CBQoS) requires a net object and none has been specified. Trying to figure out where the NetObject would go in the URL…

Unscheduled upgrade...whoops. I thought I was doing the right thing by upgrading SolarWinds from our privious version 10.1.3 to the new version 10.2 after migrating to a new server. After I had finished, realized that probably wasn't a smart move. But I'm running now on 10.2 with no issues so I guess I'm all set.

Ok, i am seein errors. It seems like it is trying to connect via smtp.gmail.com?? Test mails are correctly using our configured smtp server ... Error sending email notification for status [LOW] for alert [Total Database Instance Wait Time] run against database instance [SQLCLUS001-1\INSTANCE001]:…

I think I worked this out. I imported the live database into our new test Environment which meant that the old primary polling engine and additional polling engine were still in the database. When it tried to sync the NPM and NCM databases it looked for both of these servers as all our live nodes are assigned to them and…

Other than the basic HTTP/HTTPS checking a page for TXT, is there anything else that might let me go a little deeper? Test a logon perhaps?

Thank you, but can you let me know little bit further. How does VMan calculate the percentage from? For example (just my guess,) the heartbeat should count once per 10 seconds, so there should be 30 times per 5 minutes. Therefore VMan shows "100%" if there were 30 times in last 5 minutes, while showing "90%" if 27 times in…

Export to PDF/Excel definately for the reports, printing would be low priority as we could print after the export. What brough this up was running the chassis ID report for support contract renewal, I liked scrolling through the 50 pages, but to gain anything other than view, I had to get into the full GUI.

Greg, Please open a support ticket or talk to your SE so that we can resolve the problem. Thwack's not a good venue for this particular issue.

I guess I found the solution to add connectors to multiple servers, There is this feature called "Connector Profile" that kind of group connectors. You can choose them, edit and add your servers to these groups. So these connectors will be attached to all the selected servers in one shot! So here is the path: in top…

Thanks for the reply alterego, but still seem to have the same issue. The amount of messages has been greatly reduced, but during a 5 minute test with one particular server generating warnings at 4 or 5 messages and the others at 50 or 60 messages backed up still produces emails for all servers. i did also try to put in…

where is the " Custom Property editor " option ?

Thanks, this is a great solution and seems to work for the most part. I put this in place on one of my servers and it reported some devices however on another Orion it doesn't alert. I took the SQL and ran it against the database and see one node that meets the criteria but can't get it to alert. It tests ok but not on the…

Hey Stuart, How did you do your up/down/warning/etc events? I'm finding the canned notifications are too small or are not very helpful. Regards, Trav
