you are a star! this is exactly what we need, what is iframes and how do I get it?

I am actually using a demo version of NTA right now. You mention a way to find out WHEN traffic happens? Is there a better way than manually going in and checking on a daily basis? For example, if someone transfers files to one specific destination 3 times over the course of a day, can I see that the 3 separate transfers…

Thanks, I have contacted support via the online form and they have reset the licences :)

To clarify a bit, we did not test against 64-bit SCOM. We will update the documentation to be clear that we officially support only the 32-bit verison.

Thanks for the reply james.I already have last events and ative alerts in main console. But what i was looking for was a resource which could just show me filtered informational alerts and filtered critical alerts seperately in its separate small compartment/sub view just like active alerts and last 25 events had.

This would be my guess, too - LEM isn't very non-English friendly so characters that aren't English can come through as question marks or jibberish. Sometimes we can filter them out, sometimes not.

It's more than a multiple CPU issue, as none of my readings gave what Solarwinds was reporting as 55%. It's like Solarwinds is grabbing the wrong cpu value (maybe user% or kernal%)?
-
Good Catch, Steven! The script file was mostly a POC, but your addition makes it work completely, thanks!

Removing the need to set all of these values correctly in the DB would be great for us, we are starting to really heavily use the API for integration between Orion and our in house ticket & CMDB system. However given the issues around adding nodes being so hit and miss we have had to rule it out over our concern on…

Thanks Tim. So then I should see ports 17777 and 17778 open for my NPM server? Dan

Any joy?

update... on 3 of my 5 additional pollers, the installation kicked off OK, but on 2 of them and the additional webserver, the installer woudl not run, it just verified, went to 70% of the progress bar and then exited with no message i rebooted the problem servers, but no joy then logged off from Local-administrator, and…

Thank you Lubo.

This is interesting - Thank You

Excellent! This works well as long as the SNMP versions are the same. I tried to select all of them but then the SNMP option dissapeared. Digging further I found some had SNMPv1 and others SNMPv2. If I select all SNMPv1 or SNMPv2 then it allows me to select SNMPv3 and do a bulk update. Good call.

Thank you Jimmy, we did configure it that way and continue to see this message daily.

Hi hanif.solarwinds, Make sure you go to Product Forums and follow the Product Blog pages for the products you are interested in. When Betas and RCs are available, our PMs post announcements there, and then you can sign up. Hope this makes sense.

We don't know about what you're seeing to know if it's the same problem. Can you open a Support ticket and attach diagnostics?
-
Hi curtisi, thanks for the addendum, i didnt know that portion needed to be configured before i can store raw syslogs messages. Guess my vendor did a great job during installation. Learnt something new.

How do you add the Module Link on top of the Orion Web Console? And how does Orion NPM know that it needs to access NCM database so it can add it on its own Web Console?
-
Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately, this doesn't fix the issue. I disabled the toolset integration for my account and then closed and logged off, just to be safe. When I log back in and launch System Manager, I get prompted to install the SolarWinds Orion Network Performance Monitor 9.5 SLX bits.

Hi Chrystal, I actually solved this simple issue. One of the custom reports I loaded was fairly large and was trying to return 10000+ queries. I've removed it since and the reports are loading.
-
It also does not handle form data the same...which resulted in my accidental deletion of some data from some of my custom tables...so just BE CAREFUL!

You want log into your NPM server, Start, Programs, Solarwinds Orion, Alerting, Reporting, and Mapping. Click on Advanced Alert Manager. Clink on Configure Alerts. Pick an alert you are using. Click on Trigger Actions tab, Click Add New Action. Click Send Email/Page. Click OK, Double click Send Email/Page in the Trigger…

I just had the same problem with my Brocade switches models 6430 and 6450. I remembered that Brocade bought Foundry a while back. I changed the device type to Foundry.Switch.General and it started working.

Peter, Still really broke bad using 3.0.2 with 65xx and numerous other Cisco router and switch models. The only model that seems to report Hostanme, IP, MAC is Catalyst 37xx. Case#561811

Most likely a bug, which version of NCM?

How? I get around 20 "thumbs up" (telling me things are good) emails every day and occasionally I will get a "thumbs down" email. I can perform action if I receive a "thumbs down" email. But I can only perform a corrective action for missing a "thumbs up" if I know I missed the "thumbs up" message. I have a VBA script that…

Checked on the device which has the Unknown ? and it only has one interface and that is displaying fine on its own device and within Orion. Checked all the involved devices and none have any interfaces in a Down state, all are Up.

Are you seeing the "configured by" notifications in the current messages window? Are you using multiple pollers or the same server for polling/syslogging? Also have you followed the following steps: Pre-requisite steps for NCM Real-Time Change Detection Setup Step 1: Manually configure your devices to send syslog or trap…
