How can I run the report on the IP group? I have the customer's IP space in a group and I can view this information on the web interface. I'm just trying to get it into report writer so I can email the customer a copy of the report.

This looks great. can you tell me how I can write a report to show all my devices and their installed software? Also how can I write an alert to show newly installed software? This has been a big help, thank you very much.

thanks to you for your indications!

Thank you for your assistance with this effort! This loks like exactly the kind if report we need. However, I seem to be struggling a bit on the implementation of this. In SWQL studio, your query returns a header line with an empty result set. Yet I know there are several nodes in a Unmanaged state. My old Audit report…

Right on, I'll get to reading these.

Right on to both of ya. I doubt I'll be doing this myself, it seems like I work on one thing and we get that done and study a whole other topic. Lots of scatterdness here LOL.

Do you know if SSL can be enabled and solarwinds encryption can be shut off?
-
Righ on, I just scowered the old and new admin guide and found nothing that stated that, I could have missed it, but I see no such information. You have helped out a great deal.

It's been a while since I had to manage OWA so I'm pulling from a part of my memory that might be hazy, so here's the other way I'd approach it. There should be actual UserLogon/UserLogoff/UserLogonFailure events generated from authentication to Exchange. Now, there's a possibility that this stuff is hidden in the Exchange…

I usually try everything that seems possible before posting on forums, this time I missed the obvious! The database maintenance utility is a standalone app that can be invoked from the subdirectory it lives in, duh. In my version, it's in the Engineer Edition subdir and is called Database-Maint.exe which solved the…

hi, I'm a license customer (running 10.1)but this poller is a test one running eval version for 10.2, can i open a support ticket? It's the production Solarwinds server 2008R2 server running on vmware Anyway, now the average is correct (45 for cpu 1+ 55 for cpu2 is 50% as average) BUT when going to the server directly the…

Rob, IMO, this is unacceptable! We have almost 200 reports in Win32 app with a majority being Advanced SQL reports. There is no way I have the time to recreate them in the web interface so I have the ability to edit them. There needs to be a mechanism provided to import them to web-based reports and also have ability to…

-
Hi Jon That worked for me, just one question is the iops number e.g 492/s iops per second ? or is this number the total iops for the previous day ? Thanks again your instructions were perfect :-)

when's version 10 coming out? what have you heard? :) Whoa, there. Don't get any rumors started. We just released 9.0 two months ago. There won't be a 10.0 for a while. Our next release will be 9.1. We expect it this year (although no promises). I can't yet say what's in it FWIW, our internal impression (based on Support…

It's an ESX server, there are no remote credentials to run the script. The script needs to be run locally. I'll have a dig around and see if there are permission issues.

Thank you for the response. The version can also be found under Settings -> Details -> License Details which led me to think that it could be coming from the database. I would like to get the NPM version programmatically if possible because of REST API changes introduced in v12.

What syntax should i use for last month report ?
-
Awesome. Will give that a try. Many thanks Jason

Well, thats what I thought. I went in and tried a transform poller results. I used the predefined AVG option and built my expression avg({poller1}, {poller2}, {poller3}) where each oller I changed the object for Liebert 1 , then 2, then 3, but when you do that, it changes all of them to the same object so essentially I…

We figured it out! There is the .conf file to update. One needs to update it with the correct trailing OID string. You then just force a re-poll and Boom, it recognizes it as a Checkpoint device, woo haa! Thanks to those on Thwack for their help.

Hi Derik, Thanks for your advice. I did think this request was a little strange so I'll go back to the security team with your advice and see what they say. Thanks for your help. Adam

Loved the post and am chuckling... at your ability to retain humor while dealing with this. I know you must have had to resort to humor rahter than post how you really felt. Glad you got it working....
