Hi Adatole - With 'that have sql' I meant, servers those have Microsoft SQL Server installed on it. For example, the Windows server we use for Solarwinds have MS SQL 2008 installed on it. I was wondering, if I could generate a report that would give me a list of Windows servers that had MS SQL installed on it. Hope this…

What if the offending module is the business layer? I'm getting the error message "There was no endpoint listening at net.tcp://<hostname>:17777/orion/core/businesslayer" in the Web console.

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply. I've taken a backup of the DB just in case. :-)

Hi This works great so thanks, you mention it will show up if someone plugs something into an unplugged port. Will the interface stay as unplugged (even if it is up) unless someone goes in and removes the unplugged status? Thanks

I get no error message just that it can't fine the server that it is installed on... Everything else works fine. AFter reading this thread. I decided to re-install, same result. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks jeff

Just wanted to confirm - the default setting on the virtual appliance is indeed to sync guest time with host (this seems to work GENERALLY well without having to do any additional work on the customer's part, since the hypervisor tends to be NTP synced itself). When you have that setting configured, LEM will ignore the NTP…

Hey Alter- We are in the Eastern Time Zone. But, the question is, will this cause any issues as the other engines are all on EST. Thanks, MIke

Thanks for the response. So that there is no mistake on my part, what is the storage product name? This product uses the NetApp API to gather interface information and uses the API as much as possible?

Thank you!

Thank you guys for your help.

Hi there, Thanks for the reply. Yes, we have APM installed on x64 Server 2008 R2. The problem is, Exchange 2010 is x64 only. Regards, Graham

Brilliant that solved the problem. I edited the Chart.Colours.js (after making a copy). This was the line I edited: // 2 color palette ["#DF0F0F", "#8EBBDD"], The first colour represented the line and the second respresented the bars. The colour above (#DF0F0F) in the red I wanted. Thanks

Hi there, the time window ont he alerts tab is a good idea. it would be great if you could add supported time windows to that TAB, it would be another way to achieve this. the problem i have, is that the servers are 24/7 support, with a maint window on Sunday say at 6pm to 8pm. If the process for adding a maintenance…

Hi there, thank you very much for the response, it is very much appreciated. I had thought about this approach, but with my terrible SQL scripting skills, i threw it out as a no-go, and thought that it might be a good idea to just raise it here in the hope that we can get it added to the road-map for the next version... do…

I am having trouble with the FROM field in Advanced Alerts. I noticed that this was suppose to be fixed in 8.1 Fixes in advanced alerts: * Time of Day will now enable and suppress alerts appropriately. * From/To fields in email actions behave as expected. ...but I still receive an error when Notepager Pro tries to send out…

If you do not have a requirement for a new 7.0 feature, my personal recommendation is stay with 6.x until SW is able to fix NCM relation to the Orion Core and improves the workflow. We're taking your advice rcahill...too many issues with v7 reported by everyone. I'm scared to death to migrate. I don't need the headaches.…

The event forwarder has not been updated. I'll take that as a feature request.

Hi, Thank you for responding. The username and password is exactly what I'm trying to set. This is needed in order to run scripts through NCM. I think I solved the issue. It looks like the way I was trying to Edit Properties on Nodes populated a list of all NCM and NPM nodes (Settings>Manage Nodes> Select Nodes> Edit…

Thanks for the quick answer. I contacted them and waiting for thaty process to complete now.

This feature will be delivered in an upcoming release.

How come I keep seeing my question in here with no answers. Is there no solution to this? You haven't asked a question. The previous poster (which I guess might be another alias of yours) did ask a question. It's hard to say why some questions don't get an answer. Sometimes its because no one knows. Sometimes, it's because…

RG, That post was about v8.5, and you're running v9.1. The differences are pretty significant, code-wise. I suggest we start fresh. What's the nature of your problem?
-
Hi rgward It's possible to use the SDK to set the map location directly on a given node, we use this to place nodes on a map based on information we hold in our CMDB. The perl to do carry this out is really easy: sub set_worldmap_location { my ( $self, $node_id, $lat, $long ) = @_; my $data =…

i am told by support that this will be fixed in the next release of the ORION WIRELESS module. Did Support say how soon before the new Wireless version would be released?
-
We try to answer as many posts as possible, but we don't get 100%. This is indeed a good feature suggestion, and we've discussed it. It's something we'd like to do, but I don't have a timeframe for it.

How do I enable and moonitor VIA WMI?

Ta - typo fixed

I'm not sure it matters now - I have already deleted them. Maybe if I have time later because I suppose I will have to restore the net/b'cast addresses to the database somehow.
