Dedicated to the cluster. I have the same results on other clusters with dedicated datastores

Sorry for the delay.... I am trying to include in a daily report something like what is contained Top 10 Countries resource with traffic.

I think I know what he is getting at and I have a similar problem. Is there a way to setup a delay on a basic alert? I know this can be done on advanced alerts, but on advanced alerts there doesn't seem to be a way to supress an alert based on the status of another node like you can in basic alerts. For example if I have…

I never thought about that.... One of the IP's could have this indeed, I'm just plugging in ranges to discover everything on certain subnets. Any way to bypass this other than leave the IP out for the seed router? Or anything else that might be causing this I can check as well?

Hi, sorry for delay...I am not using 64 bits counters. It is a Cisco router

squeeb, I agree, some more explanation would be helpful. (The documentation for neighbor scanning is slim to none and needs more explanation; a good answer here would be the basis of a enhancement request to improve the documentation). I don't know who marked Steffen's post as the answer to this thread, although helpful,…

A few of us have read this post, but we don't fully understand. What'st he problem with auto-hide?

This gives me the .cfg files. I need the files with .mob extention

I solved the problem by creating the missing historical data directly in the database. See the SQL script below to summarize the values of two instances (rows) of a UnDP named OutputPower into a Transform named TotalPower. Manipulations on the database are on your own risk. Always create a backup in advance! DECLARE…

Any idea how NCM 7.6 obtained SFTP/SCP 1.1.0.16 from the Free Tool offering, when today under NCM 7.9 it would be back-leveled to 1.0.4.9? How does that make any sense?

Thanks Michal. Any SQL help is appreciated.

How can I add it in? It won't let me drag and drop into actions

guys, i have this same error on APM3.5 upgrade from 3... can you please help? why is the solution not here on thwack LOL cheers dan

actually i am not looking for any reports but i need a mail from advance report manager when a node goes down and comes up that mail should contain the downtime value

Yes, but theirs no CPU performance. Can I use ENTERPRISE section for NetAPP (see below) this is only a section where CPU utilization is avalable Section: Enterprise Category: CPU utilization

We are using Advanced Alerts. We have seperate alerts for business hours and after-hours. The only difference between the two are the Time of Day that they are enabled. What we've noticed if a node goes down during business hours, it send the alerts, and then when the Time of Day matches for after-hours, it sends that…

This is what I have under Polling Engines (see below). The OS is Windows 2003 Server Enterprise x64 running SP2. The hardware is a HP Proliant BL465c G1 with 8GB ram and four 2.8Ghz cores. It should have plenty of power. Watching task manager shows slight spikes in the CPU up to 10%, but most of the time it is barely…

I should have blocked that out in the first place! Thanks for reusing though. I update my original post with blocked out IP addresses.

A somewhat unorthodox approach could be to use the SQL Query Monitor. Create your application. Then create a SQL query against the Orion database that evaluates as true only when all monitors on an app are down. Alert off of this second monitor. I'm not sure this is any less complex than creating multiple alerts.

I've captured this feature request. It's something we'll seriously considered.

Hi Basically i created a directory called custom in the webserver Orion directory , this is open in terms of if you create custom HTML or text files they can be viewed via a web browser from anywhere that has access to SolarWinds. I enabled logging on the backup scheduled job and created a PERL script to parse the log file…

That resource can be removed. We added it to make sure users were aware of the existence and value of custom properties, but if you don't want it, customize the page and remove it.

Hi isaab, I was looking to tackle the same issue that you posted about and wondered if you would mind posting your solution? I'd like to just copy what you have and modify to suit my needs. Thanks, -Jim

If you delete all the community strings then we will just ping since we have no SNMP to send we skip it As a feature request, it would be helpful and make matters more clearer to include the option as a checkbox "Use ICMP only".

These posts are from January 2007. We've released quite a few versions of Orion since then with many changes, so I'm not sure it's relevant to any current issue. What problem are you seeing?
-
I've opened a new case (894961) referencing the old case to see if we can get somewhere with this issue, as it's really bugging me now. I've referenced this thread also, lets hope some kind of workaround can be put in place and hopefully resolved in a future version We're on 6.2.1

the ability to act as a transparent proxy is a feature of Kiwi Syslog Server today. Chris, following up on this point, is Kiwi Syslog server RFC 3164 compliant? Is it able to forward syslogs and retain the source IP Address of the original device?
-
Yes, this functionality is still in the product. It's a available on an account-by-account basis. Go to an individual account and you can grant this power. Then login as that user and you'll be able to clear events and alerts from the appropriate views.

I am looking for 100% match and a standard command line http client...like WGET? I guess though manually manage scripts from the Orion box seems less than appealing to me. But if that were possible do you have a very specific recommendation?
