Milligan, are you still around? Have a question on your 'Group status bullseye style charts' post

From what I hear that would be ok, but only one session will be able to run the toolset at a time.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. I don't know what to correlate it to in the switch itself. It doesn't seem to be a counter that shows when you run a "show interface" command.

If jeffnorton only had a single license with ET V10, after upgrading, he will only have 1 server and 1 user license when V11 is integrated with Orion. That 1 seat will need to be assigned to 1 user. I agree though that SW should make it concurrent users up to the max number of licensed seats. We have a support team in…

Well, that would explain why I have been pulling hair out trying to find this. Apparently while I have the abilities to add devices to SW, I don't have the rights to modify settings -- the UDT Settings option is not available.

Unfortunately I am not a savvy DBA or even a DBA . Looks like I'll be keeping the migration to the standard procedure.

d09h Thanks for the information, haven't come across the DB best practices document yet.

Hi Pacetti, sorry you right was a while ago as I created that. But.. it ran for 6 days and from this point it failed. Becaue that I started a manual compact database. Compacting still hangs at "NetFlowSummary2 table" for about an hour now (like three times before) Eike

Agreed, looks like a little modification of Malik's response may work better for you. I haven't dug in to figure out what the lastsystemuptimepoll value exactly captures, guessing last time the snmp manager was able to poll the agent, but this doesn't consider whether it has failed or not?

Right now the only real option IS the import CSV to UDG. Effectively the "Import" on a UDG can import a CSV. Mentioned here: Log & Event Manager v5.7 RC Now Available: Scheduled Searching, License Recycling, and More! - here's the copy/paste for that section (it's super brief): IMPORT USER-DEFINED GROUPS FROM CSV FILES A…

Umm, what? That's been built in to WHD since 2012. It's even in the documentation here: SolarWinds Web Help Desk Help And here:

If I go to the Virtualization Settings/ VMWare Credential Library and edit the credential there is nothing in there about restricting access - just the credential name, user name and password. If I go to the Virtualization Settings/VMWare and select a host - it gives me the option to Manage This Node and at what address.…

No, it is fine if the nodes that have NULL values are grouped into an Unknown group, I just don't want them to not appear at all in the list. Me too. I want the Unknown group back that disappeared in 8.5.1 in default All Nodes view. I don't want to see nodes without custom properties defined showing up in the root list.…

Just posted the reports here http://thwack.com/media/g/orion_custom_reports/default.aspx

We've heard the request about increasing the agent version each release before. It's sort of a catch-22 - in order to do that today we'd have to push out an agent update, which is something we try to limit unless there's new functionality just to reduce the footprint of our upgrade. The downside of not doing that is the…

My vendor disappeared from my radar, I'm sure they'll come back later. I'll get the MIB then.

Ditto what jswan says. Bring the old way back.

So sorry to bother you again, but you are a fountain of information Which part of this 1.3.6.1.4.1.14706.1.1.5.1.4.11.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.1.1 refers to the switch port? The last decimal? Also it says in that doc that the switch will stop exporting sflow data after awhile...did you experience this?

I need help with this as well. Not seeing example here. Thanks,!

Any ideas to try, Marc? See latest response in thread.

As far as I was aware, I thought there was no OID to monitor BGP for Palo Alto yet. I'm looking into monitoring Traps or syslog as a workaround for now. Are you able to monitor BGP peers for your palo alto firewalls? If so, could you please tell me the OID you're using. Thank you

None of the Junipers are showing an exact match so they are not assigned (can't turn it on). I compared this to the Cisco dvices and there are several that show exact match plus enable. I also beleive this is a function of NPM and not NCM.... Assign VLAN to Nodes Scan nodes for matching OIDs to enable this poller. Pollers…

Perfect, thanks!

Darn! Appreciate feedback fcpsolaradmin.

Thank you @"sreenathmp" for your possible help. The problem was a firewallchange, where the rule for port 17790 was forgotten to copy. At the first moment nobody was thinking that the firewall could block us the connection, because it worked before

I don't know if it was a bug or not but someone elevated me to level 7 and I can pull pollers into Orion using my thwack credentials now. Thank you whoever did it!!
