Hi dfairles, Did you ever get a resolution on this?
-
There is a hotfix for 2.1 that fixes exactly that problem: http://www.thwack.com

Well, you can create monthly reports and schedule it to be emailed to certain email box and keep it there for as long as you need to. Each month will go to that email box, so you can go back at any time. Yes, it is a hassle to go via diff files for each month, but you easily can join them if you decide so in a single file.…

What I'd like to deliver is the ability to create a view, with graphs and tables and export it to PDF on a schedule. That's the goal. I don't have a time frame. It's a very common feature request, and we are strongly guided by customer demand, so you can trust that it's a high priority.

I did upgrade to the new version of Cassini UltiDev Web Server, no change, but I'm not really sure to configure it compared to working with IIS 7. I have two Host Processes and Applications showing. UltiDev Web Server App Redirector Legacy Cassini 2.0 Host Process ASP.NET 2.0 or 3.x 64bit LocalSystem html http://*.8088/…

can i ask what your shared storage hardware is for your SQL clusters currently? i.e. model, number of disks, raid configuration, model of disks? I have all of my 5 pollers on an ESX infrastrcuture, but a physical SQL server. The Vmware guys claim that vSphere should be nearly as good as physical boxes these days,…

sounds like you are looking for a view to display the information. if that is the case take a look under reports there is a section called Current Volume Status the report is called Available Space on Each Volume each volume will be listed under the node name along with the volume size and space available
-
Nevermind, I figured this out. It appears that you must Manage the view, preview it, then copy the URL and add it to the menu bar as a custom URL.

Concerning the inablity to change the SNMP options... Because you've selected an interface, the only option is SNMP Get. If you choose a node, you'll have the ability to choose between SNMP Get and SNMP GetNext.

Ahh I believe I know what the issue is. I've got Cisco 871s and 881s. The 871s it recognized correctly but the 881 it does not. This is probably because of how the 881 is designed. If you're familiar with them you know that you have to configure the wireless AP on the Cisco 881 as a separate module. You can assign separate…

Being able to SNMP collect the data from the device without actually polling it for node status or interface status. Somewhat along the same lines as being able to SNMP poll a device but not ICMP it at the same time. If there was an option for GET STATS only or a DO NOT POLL (set the polling cycle for that device,…

Yes, IP SLA will provide a significant amount of network “path” performance metrics for VoIP (Solarwinds includes IP SLA Data: e.g. HTTP and Network Functionality as well: DNS, FTP, DHCP). You can get VoIP performance metrics by logging into ShoreTel switches and accessing Call Detail Records. However, IP SLA compliments…

The MAC for the end station is only known by the last hop router before the end station. That device is the one the makes the ARP request and caches the answer in it's ARP table. You are going to have to rely on that other party to give the info you need.
-
You should be able to use: ${type.<fieldName>} Example: ${Node.MyCustomProperty}

Not that I can share at this time.

When debugging (advanced options within APM) the log file outputs the following. ERROR Solarwinds.APM.Probes.WindowsScriptsProbe - Solarwinds.APM.Probes.Script.ScriptNoStatisticException: Script output did not contain required field "Statistic". Actual script output begins "Host x.x.x.x could not be contacted" at…

After extensive searching and trial and error, this seems to be a deficiency in the Orion Report Writer / Report Web Interface. There doesn't seem to be any way at all to change the order of the groupings. This also applies to SummarMonth's where you have a column of months in ascending order only.

Yes, there is some kind of bug in 10.2. This was in Basic Alerts, not Advanced, and the checkbox there did nothing. After having this work for a while, I had a new problem where basic alerts got stuck in a queue, and I needed to send a test alert message to flush them out. See this thread: I ultimately disabled all Basic…

Here it is: 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.9.6.1 Works on my ProCurve J9145A 2910al-24G at least.

I've also tried setting the template to 64-bit as per previous notes read on the subject. The PS is running, just not impersonating as requested.
-
been looking here and there for it too since we are starting to deploy more HP vs CISCO.

Yep, I've done that as well. My settings are: (I think I will need to change the max time to around 90mins) Database maintenance is enabled Database maintenance is executed at 1:30 AM. Delete expired flow data: once a day Maximum time spent to process IP addresses: 45 minutes. Compress database and log files once every ten…

Issue still happens now and again. I remember when I re-added it, it did display data for a couple of hours. Our support has lapsed and will not be renewed, so unable to log this with support, hence my post in here ;) Over a week ago I got more involved with the DBA and looking at the Netflow maintenance there was over 61…

When the DC records the event, it does record the workstation that served the last logon failure that triggered the lockout - so you SHOULD be getting that information. Now, if they were failing to log on from multiple different sources, it will just show the source of the last one, since the last one is what caused the…

NICE WORK Bill!!!

Deleted Map Maker exe from the directory on the poller, repaired the install, re-ran SP3, repaired, NTA 2.2.1 (updated), repaired APM (updated) - and now it works fine.

It's an all or nothing command that's broadcast out to all agents that are connected. You'll need to connect to the appliance console, then do 'manager' then 'rcc', it'll launch a little mini-shell, then there's a third command you'll have to run from there, which is 'changeManagerHostname' with the new hostname/IP. I'd…

the thing i would really love to see is a way to take the value from the UnDP on chassisID and fill the Serial Number field in the nodes table with it. That would be useful, but I found no way to have the UnDP interact with any other table so far.
-
Zuldera, It's not clear if you're using Orion or Toolset? Which is it? Which version are you on? Orion's latest version is 8.1. Toolset's latest version is 9.0.1.
-
Bryan, It's inbound only. From EOC to the Orion SWIS. And from the web console to the database. But the UnDP needs 17777 open bidirection from the UnDP to the main poller, if you want it to run on the additional poller.
