Hi muwale, This is work in progress, and since it's a legal matter, it can take some time. We will make sure to make an announcement once we will finalize it.

how i can earn more pionts

This would require an Advanced SQL query at the moment. We are hoping to add Top Conversations resources in the next release, which will (I think) give you what you want.
-
We don't support SQL 2008 yet. It will most likely be called v10, but I'm not committed to that. It's the next big release. We'll drop 2000 and pick up 2008 at the same time. It would probably be easiest for you to upgrade to 2008 when you upgrade to the next version of Orion.

Can you confirm this is still the case regarding the Hot Standby and Additional Web Server cannot be installed to the same server? Confirmed. This is not a supported configuration.
-
I think what you're asking for are more variables in Syslog and Traps. Our roadmap has work on both Syslog and Trap alerts to make them more like Advanced Alerts, but I don't have a timeline yet.

There doesn't appear to be a way to limit what pollers are shown on that resource. I'll add a feature request for that..

Did anyone every get this hotfix 2 file? There is not download link? Thanks

Well, I'll be. So, that's what you have to do. I missed that completely. Now, why didn't support tell me that when I opened a case asking about creating views based on custom properties just a few weeks ago? As simple as Account Limitation Builder is, it would be nice if it was just merged with the web View Limitations.…

Tremendous. Thank you.

Hey antioch, which server? (at the top right, a:d, a:e, a:f, d:a, d:b)

Thank you!

Event load is pretty low on the demo systems and it doesn't take too much resources to host multiple consoles, so they are all running on default reservations.

Originally it was several behind a load balancer and we were having periodic issues so we wanted to recruit more guinea pigstesters and see how widespread the issues were. After eliminating a bunch of other possibilities, we had the same thought this week, and removed the load balancer from the equation. Now, even with a…

Okay after a good night's sleep my mind is rolling again. 8. Unmanage/manage Interfaces/Volumes. 9. During Node Rediscovery, auto-discover new interfaces/volumes as unmanaged resources on existing nodes. This would be helpful to NOC staff by detecting when new interfaces have been enabled by field engineers. Provide…

There's no way to limit that graph in System Manager. You can get the equivalent graph on the web. The easiest way is to go to your menu bar and add the Network Trends view. That view includes a number of network-wide graphs, including the one you want. Now, by default, that view includes all of your devices and is network…

We are actively working on it. We have finally been able to reproduce in-house, and so we think we know the source of the problem at this point. We are going to deliver it as a hotfix on top of 8.5..

Did your "demouser" ever change to "guestXX" (where XX is a number, probably 15-20 range)? If you hit "Cancel" and then "Login" again, same issue?
-
Just entering configuration mode 'config t' and exiting without making any changes will trigger the syslog message 'Configured from vty'.or 'Configured from console' . This will trigger the RTCD notification like you received showing no changes with the 'Last Configuration...' and 'NVRAM updated...' lines updated.

I'm really not too sure about this point. Some log directories can grow to a hundred MB or more, and some don't ever go over 50 (unless there is a problem).
-
That search path seems pretty reasonable to me.
-
Will, We can't reproduce that one. Can you give us some screenshots and detailed steps to reproduce. dcl

My Company would also be greatly interested in having this - I Wonder if solarwinds would support this, or simply allow 3rd party to develop ip as open source?

I have 2 Brocade Connectrix DS-4900 running 6.2 .2b and I'm trying to capture port errors but can seems to find the correct MIB OID to do so. Can some please help me. Thanks
-
Have you downloaded Orion 9.0 to see what support we do have? I can look in the MIB database, but the final test is what Orion does when your device is added. If it's not supported the way you need, you can send us the sysobjectIDs in a Support ticket, and we can add.

If you're looking to verify that a given device is generating logs, what you most likely want is DetectionIP = <device IP or hostname, depending on what gets logged>. That will only show you events that come from that device, rather than events generated on another device. It would be the best way to demonstrate a device…

The HostIncident is "inferred" when it sees the ObjectDelete (the infer/incident actions are intended to raise visibility of potential issues so that you can track them). If the rule is firing, it is at least seeing the original ObjectDelete event as well. 2000, XP, and 2003 log this as Event ID 517: Windows Security Log…

It does not. We are considering that feature for a future release.

Repair didn't work - it was looking for a .tmp file in user temp folder. CMD line reg fails because it can't find the file(s). I copied it to windows\system32 and re-reg'd and it seemed to work. Though when starting the app the same thing happens. I uninstalled the demo, installed it again, same problem.
