Andy, Could you let me know the link that I can open a support ticket? I can’t find a related portal for that. Thanks, Todd
-
We don't think so because the WMI classes change name based on the name of the SQL instance.
-
Greg, Based on the other threads where you're experiencing a variety of problems, I'd suggest that you throw this into a Support ticket. We haven't heard this from anyone else yet, and there may be a common source to your various issues. Denny

The Beta is still several weeks away, but I will be contacting everyone on this list.
-
Denny, does this mean what I hope it means? Compliance with RFC 3164. Please tell me it's true. V9 Announcement - able to Forward Traps and Syslog and retain the source IP Address of the original device

The only problem is that internally there are multiple polling cycles. It's more complicated than my oversimplification implies. We will think about other things we might do to make it easier to tell you're polling is maxed out.

Hi Marie I run the config wizard for NCM and this has fixed the issue. Kind Regards James

WEB DIR: NetPerfMon\Resources\2-1-NodeDetails 32-InterfaceUtilization.Resource OR 33-InterfaceTraffic.Resource It's not clear what you are trying to say.
-
Yes, you can use the UnDP to get this data.

This video @ 1:20 shows an example of configuring Active Directory with LEM - [VIDEO] How To Use Log and Event Manager to Alert on Unauthorized Access - it's about something else before/after that, but it does show an example. The easiest way is to use the Getting Started widget tools from Ops Center to configure basic…

Drop all interfaces. Then set all stats gathering to 600 minutes. You might get it all on one poller.
-
We cannot poll every 10 seconds. Where do you see this?
-
People like you keep this forum the shining light that it is, thank you!!!
-
I'll look into it, but I don't think there's been a change between 7.8 and 8.x on this feature.
-
Definitely. It's something we plan to add in as soon as possible.
-
First, edit the filter (double click) to make sure your DCs profile appears in the right hand side (drag yours over the placeholder). (This is why it's off by default) Then, click on the filter (make sure the right one is selected), and go up to the gear on the top, and click "Turn On".

It's the polling and not the graphs. The graphs are simply revealing the problem, so no changes to graphs in 9.1 will address this issue. I would suggest you keep working with support on this.
-
What do you want to do with System Manager? Is it not possible with the web console? ARe you on v9.x?
-
pyro13g, have you tried this again in NTA 3.8? Mav Tried what again? Every time I ask I get told yes we know CBQoS has a problem we can reproduce and there is nothing official as to when it will be fixed.

Ah. Generally, LEM would lean toward using/identifying with the IP address as per syslog (or originating device if syslog forwarding is involved). Since licensing is based on # of nodes under management, it was/is the most logical first step, but it could leave room for improvement. Some folks on thwack have suggested…

Keep in mind that this thread is from 2004. That is a long long time and many versions ago. Many things have changed. An element is a network interface, a node, or a volume. An SL2000 means you can have 2000 of each. For most people, the interfaces will be the largest number. NTA is matched to your NPM license to reflect…

Definitely not dueling developers. Casey is the developer; I'm the product manager, so on technical issues, he's always right.
-
Ok, thanks for your help pauls.
-
That sounds correct. We have had a couple of reports of this same issue and it also appears that it resolves itself within about 24 hours, worst case. If you go to the Monitor screen and then "All Alerts", do you have any alerts there? If so, what does the timestamp column of "InsertionTime" say?

For folks where auto-detection isn't working, can you go to http://whatsmyuseragent.com/ and tell us what your returned user agent is? Thanks.
-
Would this feature likely be in the next release? Also would it be like the event log monitor? Would you have to create another APM monitor for every string you want to monitor for? Or could you allow it to search a list of strings? Thanks, Chris.

That's a pretty cool add-on! (I wish I had the knowledge to make more use of it). Here's a sample output of the text below a map, and the corresponding Firebug output: See the broken images? Here's the relevant code that I think is breaking Firefox: This line does not work: <td class="Property"><image…

Were you able to fix your population not working. I'm working with support on this but still unable to fix it. They have suggested adding lines of config relating to the proxy server in the SolarWinds.BusinessLayerHost.exe.config and web.config files but I still can't get it to connect. I get the following error in the…

Thank you Michal

Most likely, you are not monitoring all ports. NTA is showing you the total traffic for the ports you are monitoring, your other application is showing you all traffic. If you're also seeing a difference within NTA between the applications and total traffic, have you looked at all applications, or just the top 20?
