I'm seeing the same issue, so there is no need to open a ticket? Sounds like we're just waiting for the next version.
-
Yes, there's progress, but it's not ready to beta. Would you like to be on the Beta list? We'll be looking for interested customers who have both Orion and SC OpsManager 2007 SP1.

and i have just noticed that TRAPS page is still slow also... why is that? whatever you did to alerts and syslog, can you do it to traps?

Up under NPM Additional Components we do have some background under Map Maker which you could download and use. Check it out and let me know if this is along what you are thinking. These are all international maps. I would like to see a nice library of state (without bordering states), state regional, county, state major…

Hello, Have you tried running an MIB walk? Orion NPM has a toolset option which allows you to run them and get the OIDs out you seek. Another way to resolve this is to contact Ricoh and request the OIDs you seek to work with.

brillint, thank you!!! worked a treat

More generic WMI polling will probably be later in the year.

Thanks for replying. Not to be confused with "ICMP Path Jitter" operation, "ICMP Jitter" operation is not mentioned as a supported operation in available documentation and "ICMP Jitter" operations on appropriately configured routers were not detected by SolarWinds during testing. This is why we posted this question for…

Thanks, we confirmed - looks like any "Last Week" search can show Wednesday instead of Monday there. The tooltip and the data are correct, so it's just cosmetic. Good find. We filed a bug to fix in an upcoming release.

Sorry for my late reply. I use LAN to establish the connection and IPv4 protocol, I don’t use IPv6. I have Microsoft Firewall Client for ISA Server installed. From the network configuration point of view it seems that everything is OK. Even if I try to make local loopback (connecting to and from the same computer) the…

We've talked about what the nodes should show. I don't agree that it should show yellow. To date, the color of the icon representng the node has been a reflection of the status of the node itself. We wouldn't want to change that. An application seems more to me like an interface. It is an attribute of a node. The question…

Off-net monitoring with synthetic (voice) transaction is more important than internal call quality measuring as these are calls from our customers. Poor voice quality there can mean $$. Internal issues at worst mean PO'd employees who would then bonk me on the head and I'd fix the issue with QoS. But it hasn't been an…

By "VMM" do you mean Solarwinds Virtualization Manager (VMAN)? or SCVMM (System Center Virtual Machine Manager)? In my case, VMAN is working fine, and Solarwinds IVIM was working fine, then something changed. Thanks

Here's my UnDP poller and transform for my PDUs.

I'm not at SP1 yet, afraid to do so since things are breaking. Thanks KC, that was the trick. I appreciate the help. I can see everything now. SP1 is all about fixing things. No features, so if you're having problems, it should improve stability.
-
Hardly. I got that idea from Josh Clark.

Getting application status on a map is a very high priority. Note that it's a change to the core of Orion, not to APM, so it's planned for a future release of Orion.
-
Ah, yes. This is in fact why we chose to disable those rules by default in future/more recent versions of LEM. A few threads that might help: Re: LEM: Trying to tone down the noise, Re: Unsusual or Suspicious Traffic, and Usefulness of these Internal Rules fired from LEM Appliance.
-
It's not a view, it's a resource callled "All triggered alerts". It's on the home page by default.
-
that would be: Does the Job date and SET date need to be different?
-
yeah could be to do with the max number of data series displayed on a chart available in all settings / web console settings / Try changing it to 40 and then try the chart again... change it back when you finish.
-
Hmm. Then that doesn't sound like a performance problem--it sounds more like an issue with the alerts. If you haven't, you should probably open a Support ticket so we can collect some info and help diagnose it.
-
I'd also like to request Xirrus be added to Wireless Summary. We are migrating from Cisco AP to Xirrus and would like the same functionality we receive w/Cisco in Orion.
-
Francois, Thank you for the feedback on the new CPE. All my suggestions are made in the context of the web editing of node and CPs. I look forward to the release of the new web Node and CPE.
-
Just one more thing if I may... Though I can now see Resource info, can I set warning / critical thresholds on them or would that call for a seperate WMI monitor?
-
Does Domino publish WMI performance counters?
-
If you were able to do a round-trip email, would that meet your need?
-
Hey Donald Heinzen, I just added 500 points to your profile. Enjoy!

You can create an application template to monitor those services and if there are any event log messages to indicate the failure count you could create an application monitor that checks for the event information and triggers a corresponding alert.
-
It doesn't show the status of each polling engine. You could add each polling engine as a node. If you want to know the health of individual services on individual boxes, you might consider buying a small version of Application Performance monitor. It can monitor individual services.
