Hello - We would like to see the ability to send both SNMP Traps and Syslog messages to the NPM Event log as well as have the right-click "add rule" feature that is available in the Trap viewer added to the Syslog Viewer. Thanks!

@cschomburg Thank you, but running script locally or orion server returns "vbscript out of range". Not sure what to replace ' CAPTION with and if I should start after the ' For ' IP ADDRESS should that be the Orion server IP? Or are these variables? Changed alert name with spaces changed to hyphen but again not sure where…

If you click on the Setup>Companies&Location>location, choose the location you want to deny access, you will see a 'Users login enabled' option within each location. To my knowledge, the option in setup>users>option will supersede the option you select here. But here you go. Just make sure you have users tied to locations.

BW utilization can be a useless measure if you use Quality of Service policies on your links. We have to go be user experience. Our links can be maxed out and we never hear from the users.

If i stop the sql server before reboot, then after reboot and on starting sql server how much time will it take to come in proper working state???

I was also wondering about this. I have multiple sites with a similar layouts and I want to name the groups under each site the same but I can't since it says its not a unique name. But why should I be restrained to the group naming if the group is nested in different places. * Site 1* Tier 1 Nodes* Tier 2 Nodes * Site 2*…

Another bug has popped up in this version of the all nodes tree. If the node list is being grouped by 3 custom properties and one of them is "Null" then the resource is putting the node in an "Unknown" group. Previously, the resource would ignore the "Null" value and just drop the node in the group above instead of an…

aww thanks mate.... i can not even get to the bit of IPSLA where i have to select the node, so the only way i could even consider getting this implemented would be to run the repair on all nodes, and that would no doubt mean restarting all servciesm which will in turn re-trigger everything that is in alert, nd with…

We have netflow enabled on our core and pull the stats for a user through the VLAN they are on. We can then coorelate this traffic with the reports from our Proxy. It seems to make using the search by ip address or host easier.

While APM 2.0 can do this with a script, it's not something we've documented. From APM, the JMX counters can be polled with a script, but it's going to require a knowledge of JMX and scripting. I wish it were more out of the box, but not yet.

that will be a great feature!

Thanks shuth but I followed the steps but didn’t help. UnDPs still not polling. I will be opening a ticket today.

Good Afternoon, I am new to ORION. I am also trying to do the same type of monitoring. I have taken the above information and created the UnDP; however, I don't know how to discern the information it now displays on the dashboard. Is there a transform or something else I need to do to make this information usuable? Can I…

Here an example for Last XX days --------- TRANSMIT --------------- --VAR Definition -- Reporting time frame - Last XX days -- ReportPeriod specifies for how many days back the report should be generated DECLARE @ReportPeriod int Set @ReportPeriod=7 SELECT Bandwidth='1.) Thank you. We'll work on it.

My developer has this working on our production box, but this is not working on our lab box. we have 6 custom pollers that we are trying to assign to a node once it is added to the database. We can figure out why this is failing, when it works on the prod box. The nodes we are adding are Juniper Netscreen firewalls and we…

Can you give us more detail about what you mean by printer management? What are the key use cases you want to solve? What would an ideal solution look like? Do you see this as a separate product or a feature of one of our existing products?

Victor, Sorry, I don't know what's available. Regards, Denny

In that case, we are still planning to migrate all functionality to the advanced alert engine, but I still don't have a definitive timeframe on it.
-
Brad, We need you to open a Support ticket. Dev needs to look at your job engine logs to see why it's misbehaving like this.

I dont have ASA's but since they are cisco it should be similar. when you create the tunnel from the ASA at site B to site C it should create a tunnel interface on the ASA. that interface should then be able to be monitored from Site B's ASA as an interface. the same should be true from Site C's ASA also.

If your running your webserver on port 8080 (like I was) You need to call Support and change the web page to port 80, then manually change all custom views and custom links... Just my 15 hour experience... Other than that 8.1 is looking pretty darn GOOD We are working on a hotfix for the Port 80 problem.

Thanks, Denny! I'm not sure if it's the app...or if it just doesn't recognize that the .net version is a x64 version...

Why is this still an upgrade issue? Good question. It's not that we don't want to change it, but it's a non-trivial change to the back-end architecture, so it's more work than you would think. On every release, we have to choose, and so far, we've prioritized other features over this change. We do expect to change this,…

Hello nikhilchaitanya- Were you ever able to get this to work? I am trying to do the same thing. Thanks, Mike

A work-around for this issue is to modify the warning and error thresholds for the specific event ID. For example, if you wish to exclude an event ID, instead change the threshold from the provided low number to an impossibly larger number. Procedure: * SAM Settings * Edit AppInsight for Active Directory * Scroll down and…
