As with all other products, we don't have this for LEM either. It's the evaluation license or a purchased license, nothing for test/dev right yet. Thanks for filing the feature request, though. This has come up before.

Borgan, I tried this before I submitted the question. I do not have a 127 in the Interface table either as an InterfaceID or an InterfaceIndex. I took jeff's advice and looked at the exporters and found an interface that wasn't check and checked it. Hopefully this will settle it down. Now, to find out why the same device…

You should install SP4. There are a lot of fixes in there. I just looked at a Custom Chart in my own install, and the caption is definitely there. If SP4 doesn't fix it, you should open a Support ticket.

Hi, thank you so much for your answer. I tried setting Scheduled E-Mail Delivery Threshold to 0, then restarted the server but the problem persists. Nobody is using my server, it's just me doing some test so there is no a bottleneck or similar, JVM memory says always between 700mb and 1.2gb(it has 8gb assigned) and the…

Thank you for letting me know. I look forward to both of your assistance with this issue. mgerdin

Let me know if you need some help, I have run into an issue where we have a couple of sites with more than two tunnels and those require some tweaking.
-
I can't really troubleshoot this one from Thwack. Can you open a Support ticket and reference this thread.

ahh get over it Tony ;-) get back to Black-Ops

Each virtual appliance has to have a license for the number of nodes it will be managing. On the whole, you are only licensing number of nodes, but if you deploy multiple appliances each individual one has to have a license - as with Orion there's no license pooling.
-
That sounds right. We built this ability so that people could distribute LEM appliances and monitor from a single place - usually it's a single environment with multiple departments or regions (like a bank holding company with multiple banks, or a geographically disperse company with several LEM deployments per region but…
-
All, I am not sure if this is something you can use. We wanted to be able to post a note whenever a device went down so the Orion viewers would know the status of the event. The following is a resource we use on our home page which shows who is affected and the status notes. The Comments field is actually a field in the…

From the original documentation, it looked like a two step process: * Set up the syslog action placeholder in "Actions" (sort of like a connector for LEM) - this is where you specify the LEM side, like the port and hostname/IP to send to * Tell the different rules or rule groups to use that action (in "Rules") when they…

Do you by chance have more than one agent with the same name? It might be hooked up to an old/nonexistent one and not to the correct one.
-
You can actually go to Admin > Manage Views, selelct Node Details and edit which resources show up. The UnDP Console is just a shortcut to editing this. It's not the only or most powerful way.

Thanks for the feedback. That's reflective of our thinking so far. It may also allow SolarWinds to be more flexible concerning the number of APM component licences for example, and the number of NPM licenses. I see a number of users on the forum who don't like (or have the need) to buying matching SLX licences for example.…

Thanks - I've added my vote to that one. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have gotten a lot of attention, given it was last updated mid 2016.
-
It's something we've talked about, but we don't have a firm plan.
-
You're welcome! We've got several request types that don't have an automatic tech assignment. The main one being a 'catch-all' for all new incoming emails so we can make sure they're call-typed and assigned correctly. The place to set this up is: Setup / Techs / Tech Groups / (name of the group) / Tech Group Levels Now,…

Well, in Q1, we will be releasing a new application module that's a complete re-write of the current AM, and I'll check on that version to see if those alerts show up in Active Alerts. If not, I'll open a bug against that new version.
-
Yeah, I have seen those. It gets confusing when there isn't a step by step. I have tried some of the swiss queries and get errors too. Ex. like "expecting select......". I'll keep working on it. Maybe I'll have a "geeze you're blind" moment and everything will fall into place.
-
Ok, just to be .. well, perhaps a bit pedantic; what you're saying is, once the condition that is causing alert(s) for a given device has been cleared, the alert (or all the alerts) will be removed/deleted from the AlertStatus table? And is it only acknowledged alerts that are removed, or will unacknowledged ones go too if…

WOW! Am I glad I discovered this thread. I appreciate the insight rstoney00 (thank you) but this is insane! We currently run NCM 7.2.2 standalone (single server) and were actively planning to merge NPM and NCM soon to prepare for 7.3 database merger. We may now stay on 7.2.2 for a very, very long time. We have 3 NPM…

I've uploaded Fan pollers and alerts to the content exchange in the past. Might want to try and track them down. If I figure out how to get a useful search of the content exchange up, and I find them, I'll post back her.

You can do excludes. From the Admin Guide http://www.solarwinds.com/NetPerfMon/SolarWinds/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm Exclude eventsSelect With Keywords Below to specify simple keywords or phrases as the match criteria. Select Matching Regular Expression Belowto specify regular expressions that match text that…

I can report that of the two switches I have enabled EnergyWise upon, I am getting information from them to Solarwinds. I'm not getting all of the information that I would like to see, but I know must be there - since it is displayed if I "show power inline" while logged into the switches. I haven't done any real tweaking…
-
Excellent point for anyone else trying to filter out specific criteria...I did that previous to this post and that is what I'm filtering on for this report.

Harrijs, Please open a Support ticket with diagnostics. We have been trying to reproduce this error in-house without success, which makes it difficult to fix. If you can open a ticket so we can collect your info, that would really help. And reference this thread in your ticket! Thanks!

Yep. Has robust reporting, monitoring, deployment, even run scripts for users. What a tool!! For stuff it can't find or scan (ipads) we use the import tool in WHD, then manually link them to users... FWIW they are working on a help desk beta this year... depending on where that goes or how that goes we might make a switch…

Thanks for posting this - it solved the problem I was having.
-
I don't think so, but it's not clear to me what problem you're trying to solve. If you could elaborate on the scenario, why it's a problem, and how you want to solve it, I or someone else on Thwack might have some suggestions.
