There hasn't been a list published, though the team may be looking at it. The only way you can sort of "reverse engineer" this list is in the connectors themselves. Each connector has patterns that match by event ID and source. It might be a little tough to extract that data, since some patterns are grouped together. There…

After a reload of the server the numbers are back to what they should be, I have raised a case with Solarwinds Support and they have replied saying they think there may be a bug. I will update this post when I find out more

dang it... it sent before I put the links to the other posts that show you how to fix it. Basically if you're using pass through authentication, you have to temporarily set permissions to read/write for the web site.

Orion 9 is compatible with: APM v1 SP3 or later NTA 2.2.1 VoIP 2.0 SP1 Wireless 8.5

that sounds complex, as this is a fairly new device I would speak to Solarwinds themselves via a support ticket, to see if they will be adding functional support for this device in future. If the management center data is contained in SNMP data sent out from the device you might be able to capture it using the universal…

Hi hear your pain, What type of import, file database ? And what is your source is a XLS or CSV or a extrenal DB Thanks James

Bryan, We don't know offhand what this issue is. Have you opened up a Support ticket? If this is a bug, that's the process that will get it moved to engineering, assuming that Support can't help you troubleshoot. Denny

The Trap Viewer that is installed on the Orion server should list the IP and hostname of the machine sending the trap. I'm sorry I might have mis-understood your question. If you already know the machine sending the trap, you can just check the SNMP service running on that server and there is a Traps tab with a seperate…

Example: I monitor the table of all IKE tunnels on my core router. Should the row in UnDP table be automatically added, if I configure new tunnel or removed, if the tunnel disappears? The UnDP should dynamically add and remove rows at each polling interval.

Happy to hear that it helps!

Web performance is much better in 8.0 and in the soon-to-be released 8.1.

Thank you, rob.hock. I have already reviewed that document. Towards the end of the document it has the "Manage Credentials" screen where you can test your snmp v3 credentials on the device. It passes unless the "Read/Write" box is checked.

Still having the same issue even after changing the refresh interval, actually I have this issue on all the maps not only the customized one!! Any help? Thanks,

We don't have any particular expertise on setting up VMware. When I googled SNMP for VMware ESX, I got a VMware support page for ESX v2.0. I would suggest looking at their support site or contacting them directly.

I'll mark Andy's answer as verified, however our Evaluation license for Solarwinds has expired and I've been tasked on another project. Thanks for the help !!!

Hi You could use SQL to pull the data out and then sort by NodeCaption and then display the amount of lines you want Kind Regards James

I'm not recommending a cmd line window though. I'm all for a limited set of basic polling being made available as real-time monitors through the UI. The cmds would run server-side with inputs controlled by NPM code and the results piped back to the UI. I hate to name competing products on a vendor's forum. But there is a…

I am seeing it in one of our point to point wireless radios. Compare the firmware versions on the radios. I suspect the radios reporting a zero value are running a different version than the radios reporting good values.

So I have to download that huge Additional Web Console package again?

Weird, I am able to bookmark it in Chrome. mrs.alterego

It's definitely something we'll consider for a future release.

No problem! If you want to use a default group, you don't need to do anything in Build>Groups. That's basically for building blocks that are used in rules, filters, and searches. If you want to get an email, head over to Build>Rules and build a new rule. Go to Build > Rules Create a new rule On the left hand side, select…

You answered part of it, APM cannot monitor whatever AM can. But that's not what I said. APM absolutely can monitor whatever AM was able to monitor, plus a whole lot more. How can I report on AM? the report writer only writes reports for APM. You can't. And since APM subsumes the functionality of AM, you don't need to. Use…

Should be next week.

If it's something on a sub-map, you can control how things on a submap are rolled up.

this is absolutely required... i think Big Briother does it... it changes colour for a time when a message is received for that nodes, trap or syslog. ideally, you would relate it to the alerting, so that if a trap or syslog came into the NPM, and you deemed it important, then the node would go to a warning state for an…

Thanks ichance but what I was looking for was not using UnDP which uses an OID to get a value. I was looking for a way to use one of the Solarwinds gauges to show numeric data contained in a node custom property. For instance I have a node custom property which shows calculated bandwidth which is updated every 2 minutes…

Well, that does sound squirrelly. I would encourage you to open a Support ticket.

Hi HolyGuacamole, Thank you. Your correct. Got it.

<slaps forehead> So it does. Which version of Firefox?
