1. the top 5% is included, except for the 95th percentile report 2. It's looking at the database, but it's "bucketing" the data for the sake of the graphs 3. Not sure I understand the question.

I asked for them to consider having that .exe perform downloads from a queue of devices changed instead of spawning a new instance for every changed detected. I can't push changes to all my devices anymore. Doing so kills the server.

Thanks for the tip. It's a start, but the documentation on that page is pretty sparse. If I posted all of my questions here, this thread would be come professional consultation, lol. I am look for the best practice way to push the agent to a few thousand Windows servers in about 30 AD domains while balancing the polling…

Yes I am, but I find it quite cludgy and the search function frequently returns irrelevant info. Google works much better.
-
Yes. We're going to do that. Not sure when it'll get in, though.

I've raised this as in case anyone wishes to vote for it.

Unfortunately I've been having all sorts of problems installing the HP Management Agent. It gets halfway into the installation and then just stops responding. CPU usage has gone down to 0% and memory is stuck on 2.2mb, so it looks like it's crashed. I've tried rebooting the server a couple times, but no joy! Not sure where…

Thanks for the reply. I'll get this tested and let you know how I get on.

How about ... 1. ability in left panel to select multiple supernets/subnets, drag and drop them into a larger supernet? 2. grouping by custom property and Groups in left panel like Node Management in NPM?

My challenge with this is that (at least in my version) dynamic view limitation does not work. I have thousands of nodes. To go through and click which one belongs to which customer is just not feasible (either for me to do or "the system" to maintain). I have set up the customer intformation in the Department field but as…

Hi Allan - I am wondering if you are still around and how the story ended. I may be facing a similar task but for somewhat different reasons. Did you end up splitting into separate instances? If so, how. Did you use account limitation to accomplish the task? If so, what were the lessons learned? Thanks

What are the titles supposed to be? What is the regional setting of your OS? Is it US English or something else?

From the Orion server (not the Web page), go to System Manager. then Alerts menu. Under Configure Basic and Configure Advanced you'll see all your alerts. For each alert you use, open it up and look at the Actions. The email action will specify the SMTP server.

Was there any resolution to this problem? I'm trying to create custom pages for a group of devices at various sites and am coming up with the same error message. TIA

I agree but worse than that it caused repeated database deadlocks causing us to go as far as reboot the SQL server one or more times per day to clear the mess up. Support gave us a SQL script to delete all the multicast pollers from the database and disable a stored procedure. Now we're pretty stable on 10.5

Riyaz, One month is a short period, but it's long enough for most customers to evaluate the product. If you need longer than that, you'll have to talk to your Sales rep. What do you want to do with NetApp Storage? "Support" is too vague for a clear answer.

That's not true - it's a broadcast to all firewalls with a block IP active response connector enabled/configured. You could in fact correlate events from a workstation/server and block them on a firewall/router, too. PS: If you have a case #, we can make sure this makes it back to the support team.

Not that I know of. You shouldn't have to wait long.

The inventory just hit 3 hours and still running for less than 300 devices. Weird, I took a quick capture and over 17000 packets at the current device. I looked at the trace a bit, restarted it, and it's still blasting the same device. Another 10000 packets. I bet a couple hundred thousand packets have been sent so far to…

Great, thanks!. I was troubleshooting this on the Orion server using cURL for Windows.. We will likely be launching these unmanage/remanage functions from a job automation engine running on a Linux server. I'm guessing the parsing rules may then differ in that env. Do you have any suggestion on how this should be formatted…

You should probably run the entire configuration wizard again.

Right now behaviour is DOWN for any single component being down which isn't ideal - maybe a "DownAllComponents" status or something like that could be created for use (ie feature request) ? I'll consider it. But, be aware, that this is the first request. If other folks read this and want to explain why this would be a…

Denny, I brought this duplicate issue to Collin's attention when he was helping us with Case# 624 back in July and he said they would look into it with Development. I assumed it would be addressed. Well, I guess it didn't go much farhter than our discussion based on your comment. I guess, I need to open a case.

Our Summary charts do an average, not a sum or a max. Do you know SQL? You could create a report that queries what you want then add a resource that shows what you're looking for. It wouldn't be a chart, but it could be a table.

Can you contact Support and open a ticket? This might be a bug, but we'll need diagnostics.
-
Hi irae@saccourt.ca.gov, Would you mind posting here the ticket number? Thanks!

I am not sure how I missed some of these responses, must be buried. Yes, I agree about 10.2, 10.3, 10.5, and 10.7 (also listed in the blog). On Windows, the clock sync fail events come from w32time (EventID w32time 11, 14, 17, 18, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 31, 36, 38, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 51, 54, 63, 129, 131, 132, 133, 134,…

I understand, but it's a way to get what you want sooner that we'll be able to add it to NPM.

Ah, usually with switches we just see infrequent error messages and config changes, not a ton of exciting stuff. For Windows servers, the Windows Filtering Platform data (from the windows firewall) might include that, but it also includes a ton of noise about regular activity so it might be tough to suss out (or might be…

Look for support for at least some wireless controllers.
