To be clear, I said new alert suppression options were coming after 9.0, but I didn't say the next version, since I knew we weren't going to get the changes in 9.1. It's planned for the next major version.

If you poll the specific row, then you can alert on it. Would that work?
-
hi all, just about to do the 10.1 to 10.1.1 upgrade so am downloading all the software... yet for some reason, the additional poller, and additional webserver downloads are BOTH 400MB again.... Once downloaded, i can see that they both include the APM 4.0 upgrade... does that mean i HAVE to upgrade the APM to 4.0 before i…

Besides what Tim mentioned with Application Monitor, the only other thing in that list that would cause a problem is VOIP. Are you up to SP3 on VOIP?
-
I am definitely watching this thread. There's no way to do this now, but it's something we're looking at for a future release.
-
In 9.0, you can make most admin changes from the web console, so there's no need to open System Manager.

If I understand your problem, you really want to know when SNMP fails to respond on the server. What about setting up a universal device poller to check something like system up time or some other status type variable. You could then add the UnDP as part of your alert. So, alert me if Node is Up and UnDP is down. If I…

Thanks for the thoughts wbrown...much appreciated. Eric

Thanks Chris. I didn't have that checked at first, but even after I did, I'm still seeing issues. I'll Turn off RTCD and open a case with support. Thanks

When I selected yes v1, the process continued, my interfaces and the universal pollers were there. Radioman, so that means that changing snmp version to v1 helped resolve the issue of interfaces going into "unknown" state?
-
Thanks to both of you for your responses, after making the suggested change all Linux SNMP Service/Process counters are working w/o issues.

ok guys, my server is behind a proxy.. how does one make license manager proxy aware?
-
names and why do they appear such as (d), (l). I understand what they mean but was unsure the reason behind (l) !

LOL ecklerwr1... i have to say, 9.5.1 specifically is the best NPM release in a long time, it is very stable, and the performance was very good, coupled with the APM 3.1. I am hoping the same testing goes into 10.0 for me, i like performance increases over features, but i am going nuts to get my hands on the release…

Denny, any chance in a future release adding a timer so to speak to the site. Our ticketing system for instance shows at the bottom of the screen this page took .53 seconds to load. It may help to easily identify which resources are problematic. There's always a chance. ;-) We're focusing on web performance for the next…

For a very long time, we had the technical capability to upgrade Linux agents remotely but did not include it packaged in to the appliance. With our 5.7 release and forward, we have been including ALL FLAVORS of agent that we possibly can to automatically remote update. This means Linux, Windows, AIX, HPUX, Solaris, and…

Ok I got my interfaces correct but now I have another issue. One of my Riverbed devices has both the 0_0 and 0_1 interfaces passing traffic and connected to the same WAN router. Therefore when I add these 2 interfaces to this report each interface only shows part of the traffic on the LAN side but all the traffic on the…

Hi there, i would like this feature too. I asked for it a year or so ago, but did not ever expect to see it arrive. the view was that eventually we would be able to put true SQL into the alert configuration but i am not sure that would get me what i want. I would like to be able to have a custom property for number of…

Agreed. It's on our to-do list for Orion. What would you like to see, exactly? Do you just want us to support the latest version of net-snmp? What else, if anything?
-
Steven, i am trying to make it look like that but i can t . any help ! Thanks, Elie

I'd like to see the "Search for Nodes" AND "Search for Interfaces" resources work like the Search in Manage Nodes/Interfaces resource; no need to specify a wildcard, no dropdown list to select from. It figures out whether you enter a name, partial name, ip address, partial ip address. The data search is also done, I…

The steps in that link did not help. I can't find any of those sub-installers anywhere.

I got the alert imported but they did not work. I get the email but not the list of applications. When talking to support they say the program is the program that alert is running (APM\SolarWinds.APM.RealTimeProcessPoller.exe) is part of sam. I do not have a license for sam. When talking with sales rep they said that SAM…

Thank I put a ticket in and they sent them to me as well. I am just testing to see if they work or if I need the program.

Is there a list of all the minor bug fixes that are released in the different stages. I am running RC3 now and just installing RC4
-
That worked. I'm able to send create a ticket via email But, now I have another issue. It creates a ticket, but does not send out an email notifying me of the ticket. I get the following error.
-
I'll look into and see what the bug is.

Hi Curtisi, Thank you for your help, this is now working well. Big help

Hello Though it is disappointed, our environment is not an ideal. A different administrator in each application and each server exists with our environment. Therefore, we must send alert mail in the different address in each application and each server. Therefore, we want to set up alert action when application is assigned…

Yes , Greg that fixed my issue as well. Thanks for all the great help.
