I have a similar issue with a flat/new DB: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040FE0): [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Cannot open user default database. Login failed. ideas?

I'm only guessing here but I bet you just added a condition group then moved it up to be below "Node Status is not equal to Up" ? This will not work, you can see by looking at the indentations that "Node Status", "Node Name" and "Node Name" are still under the condition group "All" Suppress Alert when all of the following…

I was just wondering if a windows server had to be used as a universal license since those are for non workstations , so I viewed a universal license anything that doesn't run a windows OS, like switches, routers and those type of devices.

It doesn't, but we have a team working on a replacement failover solution that will eventually cover all of the modules. It's probably next year, but it's not vaporware. There are people working on it asking me questions about it every few days. It's part of a larger effort, but it's a priority for us.

There is not a whole lot of options under the NCM action unless I am missing something here. I select an NCM action, select to execute a config script and put in the commands but that doesn't allow me to specify the device on which I want to execute the script. Now, I've looked through the documentation but there is…

I did an SNMP walk and got the same results. I thought that if a router supported a MIB, it supported all OIDs in the MIB. I guess it seems weird that table OIDs, specifically, are not supported even though other OIDs in the same MIB are. Why might a router exclusively support non-table OIDs?
-
The appliance does have default SNMP community strings (they are truly defaults, public/private), but SNMP monitoring is turned off entirely - even when you enable SNMP traps, it only enables the trap collector, not the SNMP monitoring side of things.
-
Orion 8.5.1 does not support MIB Tables, but Orion 9 will.

This is what I managed to find. With these configuration should I be able to add groups from other domain?
-
All, I got this working. I had to create a new Custom Property and put the calculated value in that field as well. I was then able to use APM 2 ODBC User experience to grab the value. I then created an alert to trip if it went over 70. Thanks to Soalrwinds for developing applications and alerting capabilties that can be…

I have an issue with a poller that returns multiple values in a single poll separated by commas. Is there a way to separate the values? The following is a table of values from a satellite modem which translates to. modcod, frame, pilot,BB Frame Count,,......... the final value is called Link Margin and I need to be able to…

If you're using the Universal Device Poller, you just need to paste or type the OID into the wizard. No need to have the MIB in the database.
-
folks, maybe you should raise a support request? I can monitor the virtual nics on our Orion install and see utilization so maybe theres something wrong with yours? rgds Dave

The change is not intentional. We'll try to hotfix this as soon as possible.

Well I feel dumb now. Just logged in to the iDRAC and found two batteries there. One for the System Board and another for the storage. These are ESXi hosts with no local storage but I guess it came with a battery anyways.

Hopefully this is what you are looking for.

Jiri, I have to disagree this requirement is not popular. We also would like to see NCM be able to have visibility into the interface configuration. We have the need to detect whether a "bandwidth" statement is configured on WAN/uplink interfaces to be able to apply the appropriate QoS commands to the interface. We are…

I'm finding I'm having the same issues. Upgraded and when I tried to add a DOMAIN ADMIN account, the logon works fine. But if another (lower-level) admin or regular user account I get the same error - Logon Failure: User has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer. I also had issues with domain GROUP…

That's helpful, but it would be nice if one could "copy" the component by reference, as if the component were a template that could be instantiated multiple times. That would be very beneficial if you have a component with a common script body and a unique script argument for each instance. I created a feature request for…

We aren't expecting Orion customers to move to Kiwi for their syslog needs. We have added functionality to Syslog and Traps over the last few years, but we haven't updated the UI. We haven't done it because UI rewrites are big items in a release. For every release, we have to pick something, and so far, rewriting those two…

Thanks for the input, but it seems it is not quite that easy when you want to add Compenent monitors from different application templates. From the Application summary view I cannot add Component monitors at all. From the node details view Components also cannot be added. Component details such as Multiple value component…

Yep, that's exactly what happened. Thanks for connecting the dots.

I have tried everthing I know... I have removed controllers, readded controllers, Shut down all services, restarted all services, Shut down the server, Restarted the server, Re-ran the configuration wizard and I just can not figure out why this wireless summary window will not update or show the correct information. I can…

Yes I will give that a try this afternoon.

Thanks Josh. The passwords being encrypted by WMI automatically sounds like what we need. Thanks! Chris.

And make that me too. I probably can do some work with my video team to review this stuff.

So APM is not good tool for Oracle and SQl Server database monitoring? Please let me know the steps to create self monitor template in APM? Can I use Sql/Oracle query to monitor database through APM? Will it require readonly access of Database?
