I misspoke when I said "script" . In APM 3.0, there is a full LDAP user experience monitor. Description: This component monitor tests the capabilities of a LightWeight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) server, and measures the time it takes to perform LDAP search-and compare operations.

Our new LANsurveyor product also has switch port mapper functionality. Moreover, it runs as a service and can continuously update as the network changes.
