I need to be able to schedule non-polling for a device between say 6 PM until 7 AM. We're working on that functionality now.

I must be doing soemthing wrong here. When I "walk" the server that the Bes is located on I do not see anything for 1.3.6.1.4.1.3530.5 when I load the mib from C:\program files\blackberry enterprise server\monitoring service\ I can browse them and for example see the besSysHealthMsgPending has a value…

I've made it clear with my support tech that I am willing to invite your developers into my Solarwinds server via screen-share so they can see first hand what the problem is. Unfortunately, the amount of noise being generated by APM2.5 right now is reducing my team's confidence level in the accuracy of the product. I am…

Hmm, this seems weird. I even tried setting it to ALL, and I got the exact same output in the Log tab. :s (And yes, I've been hitting apply.)

I'm sure it was just /Information Service 3.0 [^- SQL]/, but I'll try again. This time I'll close all the query windows and start a fresh session. Also, set it to "TRACE", right? (I see that there are several options in the drop list.) Yeup, got the same thing. : / And there's what I'm seeing on the "LSDOrionWest" server,…

Hi Butch, Success! It works like a charm. Thanks for your help. : )
-
Hi Butch, That's great, even I can follow that! : ) I'll give it a try and let you know how I get on. Thanks, Andrew.

How to config the Format Option? kindly reply.

Could you post a screenshot of how it looks in Orion when you "edit" the UnDP resource?
-
Ah, this is an interesting screen! Ok, I am seeing all Orion servers there and the Last polled is within a minute or two but what I see is that the node count on the server in question is 922. Does the amount of nodes on the remote Orion affect the amount of traffic? I thought traffic between the EOC and remote Orion's was…

Yes that is excactly what i see. I have two users in my LEM appliance:1 the swi-lem admin and 2 a user i created later. Do i have to add a user from the AD with the Administrator, Auditor and Reports Role?

I'd suggest that each of you contact Support. We may be able to provide you with some kind of workaround until we can release a more comprehensive upgrade to the Custom MIB Poller, which is our top priority after 8.5 ships.

k, done! Marked now as answered Thanks again. -FRA

Currently, the HTTP & HTTPS Monitors in User Experience, and the TCP Port Monitor in Network Protocol.

Consider it listed.

If you go to Solarwinds and ask for help they won't comment. silverbacksays by the above logic we could determine that every single monitored device is communicating with SQL and in that case requires a device CAL too. Let us assume that Microsoft wouldn't do that... they wouldn't... or would they?
-
Will certainly mention that to management when proposing the upgrade path. You are right this shop is fairly small, mainly because a lot of the stuff they have isn't monitored. We are changing that slowly and as we do their requirements will grow along with the SQL database.
-
Thanks Only 32GB RAM? I have also been looking at Device cals for SQL instead of processor or user cal licensing. It looks like a good option. I'm not sure if I still need to buy user cals with device cals? They won't pay for SSD storage here

Hello Steven, Thanks for the reply. I'm still having the same issue. But I have narrowed it down to this: Now this is SQL Statement I'm working with:: SELECT MAX(VendorIcon) AS VendorIcon, MAX(Caption) AS Caption, MAX(StatusLED) AS StatusLED, NodeID, SUM(OutageDurationInMinutes) AS SumOutageDurationInMinutes FROM ( SELECT…

Do we need to open a trouble ticket on this problem?
-
Oh? Which pollers does it add? I mean.. should I be adding the Node pollers before I make the AddInterfacesOnNode call? (..because it will want to know which poller(s) are 'attached to' the Node?)

How do I pass the variable from serv-u

We have introduced a new IP SLA Manager that would do exactly what you're looking for. www.solarwinds.com/.../
-
Yes, you can. It's still listed as "experimental", but we are working with VMware on their efforts to make the support official.
-
That makes sense. I'm going to be cramped for time with all of the upgrades, fixes, and just plain learning I need to do., but I'll use your idea to rename the old alerts and then come up with a new alert naming and design pattern to make them easier top manage going forward. I'm don't know which alerts are valid and which…

I just setup SNMP on my XenServer and I am getting the same thing. Any thoughts on how to correct it RC
-
Hey Jeff - which counters rolling over?
-
Yep, that was it....and most of us needed more help with what a CIDR is before we learned Solarwinds....lol. I felt bad for you during that training session. You walked in expecting one thing and ended up doing something completely different. So, back to my issue...I actually think I've figured it out. Once I'm completely…

Hmm. Well, there goes my theory. I thought you were monitoring more than that. A single server should be enough if you're not a VM. Those are just guesses based on typical problems. From your description, it should be performing well, and it's tough to troubleshoot odd problems on a forum, so the SE is probably your best…
