Bryan, I ran the CW but still the SSH function is still not working. I am going to go ahead and open a ticket on it.

That got it!

Does this work for CPU forecast chart? Tried it but nothing yet.

ever growing list ...that it is. There's no shortage of wants out there is Orionland. We are cooking up some really good stuff for the next release, but it's always tough because we are always forced to leave stuff out. Well, we're not forced. We could do a blindingly awesome release every three years, but I doubt that…

nicole, what is the best practice for sourcefire? I have pointed sourcefire to local4 and created a new snort connector looking at local4.log. Im not seeing anything and dont see any detailed documentation like for the other vendors.

I tested it a few times and had nodes with interfaces in an unknown status for a week. Our rediscovery is set to 2 days, so the system would have discovered it on its own at least twice in that time. I have tried many things to try to get the interfaces discovered when testing, nothing worked other then adding the…

Hi Stuart, Solved it with your mentioned configuration listed on here also had to enable authentication in SMTP settings of Alerts. Thanks!
-
not a problem mate... welcome to the product set... custom properties is one of Orions shining qualities.... i can not believe how bad my typing was in my reply to you though... insane!!!!
-
This is what I tried originally but it doesn't work as stated in my reply above, it doesn't even allow you to save this. " Suppress Alert when any of the following apply" doesn't have any conditions, alerts can not have a condition group with no conditions. Surely this is one statement that takes into account the ANY…

Check mark "Email me when a node goes down". The device is marked in "Monitored network objects". This is the default alarm that comes with NPM. My email address is entered along with all smtp info. If I test the alarm, the email comes in on down and up tests. If the event happens naturally, it never sends an email.

Ok, I've spent a lot of time recently trying to get this going and I just wanted to update this thread with my findings in case anyone stumbled upon it. For starters, remotely executing PS scripts against Exchange Server 2007 via WinRM is not supported. This is not isolated to APM, it does not work from any machine, even…

Which login should I used to view those screen shots? The last time I was asked to log into the support site, Solarwinds tech support told me that the resource was for employees only.

NTA 2.2 doesn't support v7 or v9 yet. We plan to add support in 2008.

One follow up question. After running your query and also looking at metadata.verb and metadata.verbArgument, I only see the following verbs for Orion.Nodes. Unmanage/Remanage/PollNow. Where does the CREATE come from in the following REST Post come from? Invoke-RestMethod -Uri…

Thanks!

Thank you for the info but the project is not worth it. We have a «real» system in place but not usable right now for this. I was able to do 95% of the job in 30 min in Kiwi... It's good enough

And the section is documented in the Admin Guide here: www.solarwinds.com/.../wwhelp.htm

Link didn't make it into the message body. Nevermind, don't think netflow was on that interface..
-
it's been 2 years since someone inquired about this feature? Still no answers?
-
ahhhh.. ok.. That solves everything! =-) well there is rarely progress without pain. I better quit while im ahead and just wait for the update I know we had discussed the rollup container capability in relation to maps but it wasn't clear it would be worked into node tree's as well. That is most definitely something to…

Hi there, we are using NPM that also has the SAM module built in, and although the article you linked to regarding Windows memory usage monitoring was an interesting read, the majority of systems we use that I am trying to monitor page file usage on are linux - does this mean such monitoring would need to be done via an…

Yes , I tried that one without any luck in which field would you enter the information I provided?

What iFrame code did you use? When I tried it, it started dominoing hundered of iframe windows.... <iframe src ="/Banner/banner.html" width="100%"> </iframe>

I just downloaded another evaluation version and installed on a different VM. The option for SQL Native Client is not present. I downloaded the Kiwi Sys Log server from here: downloads.solarwinds.com/.../Kiwi_Syslog_Server_9.2.1.Eval.zip

Sorry - I should have explained more. This is a Customer Poller Chart within the web interface added to the Node Details page. All of my custom poller charts look the same (except when I change the line color...) regardless of the chart type selected (Step, Ribbon, Bar, etc.).

Hi Craig (cnorborg) not sure how to reply back so added my response to you paragraphs.... I still have a fair bit of work to do to bring the application up to where I want it and this weeks not been a good week for time. So, why are 531 nodes discovered and 431 inventoried? Good question. Are they all added to NCM? You…

The alert works if I use "Numeric Status" instead of "Status".
-
Good Morning silverback! Thank you for your feedback. Well, the SNMP part is clear. Until now I never had problems with it, also the device poller from solarwinds is very handy. For the syslog it is - in the meantime it was - a bit difficult, since you can not actively ask for syslogs. Also tracing won't help if the…

Nevermind you cute little Thwack-offs:) Those are parameters ARE negotiated. The script was not my issue....the WLC has a path max of 62-63 characters, and our path exceeded that. Moved the Dir for the archive, and change it in NCM and imy WLC started downloading configs.

The resolution, apparently, was that the Dragonfly engineers added a patch to their appliance that set the ifIndex for the different Netflows to a static value. When I checked the latest Wireshark traces, I saw that the ifIndex for each flow was indeed remaining constant (in this case 4), rather than changing with each…
